The Christmas season is the best moment of the year to sit back, relax, grab a bag of popcorn and watch a good movie. The holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year, so what would be a greatest way to feel good as watching a good movie whether a silly or a serious one? There is always something about our favourite Christmas movies why we never mind watching them over and over. Below are three of our favourite Christmas movies of all the time.

It's a Wonderful Life

Many agree that this film is an essential Christmas movie. This film, that stars James Stewart as George Bailey, is about a man who is going through hard times to the point of wishing he had never been born. When his angel literally falls on earth, and fulfill his wish for a short period of time. He is given the opportunity to look and see how things would have been if he really was not born. Hope is the principal subject of this movie. It allows us to realize that no matter how small we thought we may be in this wide world, still we have something to offer, we have something to share with anyone else. And that any very small deed we might consider can mean a lot bigger to the others.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

This movie, adapted from Dr. Seuss' book, is unquestionably a hit to both kids as well as adults alike. This Christmas movie is about a grinch who is rejected as a child because of his physical manifestation. As he grows up, he takes on revenge against the people in the town of Whoseville and plans to prevent the coming of Christmas by stealing all the ornaments and gifts. Fortunately, there is a young girl who knows him from the inside and understands his feelings and teaches him the real meaning of Christmas so he backs out on his evil plans and eventually the people of Whoseville welcome him again.

A Christmas Carol

While having surpassed time, this Christmas movie remains a favourite of many. The story, written by Charles Dickens is about an old merchant, Ebenezer Scrooge, whose only concern in life is to earn more and more money. He rejected everybody who gets in the way of his desire to make money, even his loved ones. In his old age, he imagines being visited by Christmas ghosts showing him his wrong ways and hoping he would change his mind and walk the good path in his remaining days on earth. The lesson of how to be always there for your fellowmen and doing the right ways is taught by this wonderful Christmas movie.

There is no need of action and/or violence to make these films classic. Only a good and worthwhile story will let everybody know how marvellous the Christmas season can really be.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
