Although I do not know anybody who is buried in these two cemeteries, I somehow find the peaceful serenity of being in a cemetery very relaxing and refreshing. Therefore, let me share with you my top three reasons why I think anybody should visit their local neighborhood cemetery at least twice a week.
#1 Top Reason to Visit a Cemetery - Nobody is watching you!
A public cemetery is a great place to wander aimlessly around by yourself where you can do just about anything you desire with nobody watching you for miles.
You can yell at somebody on your cell phone. You can pick your nose until it starts to bleed. You can jump up and down and wave your arms excitedly in the air. You can scream at the top of your lungs for the cops and never wake the dead. You can also have late night sex with somebody among the gravestone markers, and there is a 99% chance that nobody will ever hear about it.
Yes, a cemetery is one of those few public places that are more private and less crowded then a public library on a Saturday afternoon. Therefore, I say take advantage of the seclusion opportunity at your neighborhood cemetery while you can.
#2 Top Reasons to Visit a Cemetery - A Great Location for a Date!
Because a cemetery is rarely overcrowded with visitors during a typical weekend, it makes a wonderful place to spend valuable time with somebody you love. Nothing expresses the feeling of love more then being alone among hundreds of old gravestone markers. If nothing else, it would certainly be a very memorable date.
#3 Top Reasons to Visit a Cemetery - A Secluded Place to Think!
If you are a writer or an artist, or you are looking for some new ideas or inspiration for your next chapter in life, then visit a cemetery. You would be amazed how staring at a lot of different gravestone markers will give you lots of motivation and a strong sense of mortality to keep you moving forward into the next day, no matter what kind of problems you are facing right now.
Well, those are my top three reasons why I think anybody should visit their local neighborhood cemetery at least twice a week. I am sure you could think of some other creative reasons why you should visit a cemetery. However, I always feel better visiting a cemetery where I can always find a quite place to sit and ponder any questions or problems in my life.
Try it and see if visiting your local neighborhood cemetery cannot help you with answering any questions about life you might have, or help solve a problem, or even help develop a creative idea for your next artistic project. I wish you all the best with your visit and good luck!
