Top 3 Romantic Restaurants in My Hometown of Murray, Kentucky

Choosing the top romantic restaurants in my hometown of Murray, Kentucky was an extremely easy assignment. Murray is a very small community in the Land Between the Lakes area of Western Kentucky and there really isn't that much to choose from around here. Our community is home to Murray State University and a very flourishing retirement sector. Most people in this area will travel to one of our neighboring towns if they are truly looking to take someone out for a romantic evening, however I decided to make this more about what we have right here in our community. Especially since romantic evenings are more about the company you keep, than just the place you eat and Murray does have some nice places to dine.

1. Tom's Grille is located on 641 North at 1501 N. 12th St. in Murray, Kentucky. Tom's Grille has a great relatively dressy atmosphere, terrific wait staff and a very tantalizing selection of perfectly cooked dishes. Tom's Grille has really reasonable pricing, and their food is scrumptious and well worth every penny. The menu features everything from Italian dishes to superbly cooked steaks, I love their blooming onions and their 12oz. grilled pork chop. Tom's Grille is locally owned and within reason they will do almost anything you may want in order to make sure you and your date have a terrific dining experience. Tom's is open from 11AM- 9PM daily and you should always make reservations for a special dining experience. Tom's serves alcohol and some of the best desserts around. 2. Tumbleweed Southwest Grill is another choice for a romantic dining experience. Tumbleweed's is a fairly fancy restaurant and even though they are a tad pricey, the fantastic southwest dishes are well worth it. Tumbleweed Southwest Grill has a menu features bison burgers, spicy mouthwatering ribs and steaks cooked with a southwestern flair. Although Tumbleweed Southwest Grill is new in Murray, the restaurant has really become a big hit with the locals and would be the perfect place to take someone for a romantic meal. Tumbleweed's has an outstanding atmosphere and great service. Tumbleweed's is located near Murray State at 807 Walmart Dr. and is open from 11AM- 11PM. 3. Applebee's Restaurant is located on Hwy. 641 North at 816 N 12th Street and was one of the first chain restaurants into our small community. Applebee's has a great laid back atmosphere with a really welcoming staff and fully stocked bar area. Everyone in Murray loves the food and the restaurant would be the perfect place for a casual romantic dinner especially for a first date. Applebee's has a great selection of dishes on the menu ranging from Asian type salads to bourbon glazed steaks.
