3. Yahoo!
Yahoo is an interesting site. You can get answers for your problems using Yahoo! Answers, listen to music, and check your email and more. But one of the main things in Yahoo is the search engine. It looks a lot like Google, with advertisements on the top and side of the page of the search results. You can search for things on the web, images, video, local, shopping, answers, directory, jobs, and news. It has a slick design but has a lot of advertisements on the first page which may take it longer to load. Yahoo is compatible with McAfee's site advisor and mywot.
2. Google
This is a no brainer. One of the most common search engines around, everyone knows about Google. It has a clean interface and it is very fast at loading results. It does have advertisements like yahoo does, but they are not very noticeable. Google has a ton of features for there search engine. These include: Web, Images, Video, Maps, News, Shopping, Gmail (email service from Google), Groups, Books, Scholar, Finance, Blogs, YouTube, Calendar, Photos, Documents, Reader, Sites, Alerts, Blog Search, Book search, Checkout, Google Chrome (Internet browser), Custom Search, Desktop, Earth (google earth), Finance, GOOG-411, Google Health, iGoogle, Toolbar, Special Searches and even more! Google is my current default search engine and my homepage. Google is compatible with McAfee's site advisor and Mywot.
1. Bing
Bing is a new search engine by Microsoft. It has Surprising fast loading results, has a nice picture at the home page, and even gives suggestions about what to search about. Bing does not have nearly as many options as Google. Bing only has, explore (Web), Images, videos, Shopping, News, Maps, and Travel. However, if you think about it, it's enough to keep you coming. Something that's really cool that Google is missing is that if you do a video search, you can play the video without going to the webpage, it's really cool. Bing has just started, so it does not have a lot of features, but expect more features to come by the end of 2009. I see myself using Bing more then Google. Bing is now compatible with McAfee's site advisor.

Post a CommentOnce in a while I might use yahoo or msn, but a majority of the time it's google.
Thanks :)
Thanks for the overview. The first search engine that lets me really do exact matches (taking capitalization, word order, and puctuation into account) will get my loyalty.
I do not pay much attention to what the two giants offer i.e. loading speed, "can dos" etc. I suppose that as long as it turns out results every time I use them is what counts (HAHAHaa). Now its nice to know of other options, like bing. Thanks for the info.
Since I've discovered Bing, I gotta say, it's the best.
I don't search, I google, lol.
I'm more of a Google guy I admit; Bing just seems to lack the sheer attractiveness of google :(
Glad to read more about Bing. I've not used it yet (I get very set in my ways) but the more I read about it, the more it interests me.
Nice and concise comparisons.
I use Yahoo! more than anything.
