Bon Appe Thai is located at 245 West Pearl Street. They are open for lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Saturday, and for dinner from 5:00 to 9:00 PM everyday. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. I have not had any problem walking in without a reservation.
Bon Appe Thai has a fairly extensive menu, so there should be no problem finding something for everyone. The appetizers run from $6.95 to $15.95. I am fond of the sate and the spare ribs. Soups run from $6.95 to $7.95, and I have enjoyed every cup I have had. The salads are also all quite good, and range in price from $7.95 to $14.95. The entrees are between $13.95 and $16.95. I found the pad thai to be merely so-so, but the green curry with eggplant is delightful. Just because Bon Appe Thai is only the third most popular (out of three) Thai restaurants in Jackson Hole doesn't mean it's bad. The competition is rather stiff. You can check out the menu at www.bonappethai.com, and you can call for reservations and questions at 307 734-0245.
My second favorite Thai restaurant in Jackson Hole, Thai Me Up is located at 75 East Pearl Street. Thai Me Up also has a fairly extensive menu, although some of the entrees are a bit pricier. The entrees range from $9 to $28 dollars, so you can be thrifty or spendy depending on your mood. One aspect that makes this restaurant stand out is the bar. The bartenders can whip you up a great variety of drinks to complement your meal. The Thai coffee and Thai iced tea are excellent non-alcoholic drinks if you are the designated driver.
The stand out among the appetizers here is the larb gai. I would avoid their tom kha soup. It isn't bad, but it's not as good as it should be and tends to have more inedible plant matter in it than usual. Among the entrees, the yellow fin tuna in a yellow curry is a winner. Thai Me Up is a great place to hang out with a small group of friends and enjoy cocktails and good food, and that is why it is my second favorite Thai restaurant in Jackson Hole. You can call Thai Me Up at 307 733-0003.
Teton Thai is the best Thai restaurant in Jackson for a simple reason: It has the best food. There are a few potential downsides to this restaurant, so let's cover those first. The restaurant has a limited amount of space. In fact, the interior of the restaurant is less roomy than my bedroom, and my apartment is not exactly palatial. In summer this paltry area is supplemented with outdoor seating, but if you want to eat the best Thai food in Jackson during the winter, you might want to get take-out. Another potential problem is that Teton Thai does not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash in your wallet before you place your order. There are no alcoholic drinks on the menu, so if that is important to you, you may prefer either of the first two restaurants in this article.
Now, let us return to the food. Simply put, the food is fantastic. The appetizers and salads are all good, and range in price from $6.50 to $10.50. The tom kha gai soup is the best I've ever had, as are the tom yum soups. A small serving of soup is $6.50, while a hot pot goes for $12.75. I have never been less than delighted with any of the entrees, so pick whichever one strikes your fancy because you can't go wrong.
Teton Thai is open for lunch from noon to 2:00 Monday through Friday, and for dinner from 5:00 to 9:00 Monday through Saturday. Their phone number is 307 733-0022, and the website is www.tetonthai.com. Teton Thai is located at 135 N Cache Drive. If you head north on Cache Street from the town square, Teton Thai will be on your left, set back in a small courtyard. If you happen to be in Idaho and craving Thai food, they also have a location in Victor, Idaho, and the phone number for that store is 208 787-THAI.
If you want to eat some delicious Thai food while you are in Jackson Hole, this guide should have you covered. All of the restaurants are good, but Teton Thai is great.
