One could never know if a video will go viral. My pick of the top three viral Christian videos weren't made to gain popularity on the Internet, but they did. From funny to inspiring, check out these viral Christian videos.

Momism

Christian comedian, author, and mother Anita Renfroe summed up everything a mom would tell her children on a typical day in a three minute song set to the William Tell Overture.

Renfroe's "Momisms" video has over 400,000 views on YouTube, but it can be found all over the Internet. It is also searched as "momsense" and "the mom song." It has been copied by other women, sung at churches during Mother's Day, and even parodied by mothers and children alike. CBS's Early Show also interviewed Renfroe because of this video, dubbing her the "William Tell Mom."

Mothers will obviously enjoy this video as they have most likely said at least one of the phrases Renfroe sings. However, this is a funny video in general. Older children will most likely recognize the things they've heard over and over from their own moms, but they'll hear it in a new way. Dads will also relate to the song, as they most likely have said the same phrases themselves. Renfroe did make a follow up video called "Dadsense" for the dads out there who want some spotlight on the things they say to their children in a typical day.

Everything Skit

In 2006, a group performed a skit during a Winterfest in Knoxville, TN. The video went up on YouTube and GodTube or Tangle in 2007, and it's gone viral ever since.

The skit was a performed to the song "Everything" by the Christian band Lifehouse. It was performed on a stage in front of a live audience. It has over 14,000,000 views on YouTube and can be found on many other video sharing sites. The Lifehouse Everything Skit, as it's most commonly searched as, has been copied by many other youth groups, some adding elements of dance and others turning it into a short video with scene changes and transitions.

The skit is touching and easily reproduced. My own youth group performed this skit during an Easter celebration at our church. It was warmly received and even brought others to tears.

Not a Single Lady

Carlos and Heather Whittaker are the bloggers of Ragamuffinsoul.com and Whittakerwoman.typepad.com (respectively). They are a Christian couple who blog and vlog about the happenings of their family. During one drive, the Whittaker children were dancing to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" when Carlos told his son, Losiah, that he was not a single lady. Losiah cried. The parents laughed. The video was posted online and the rest is history.

This video titled Single Ladies Devastation has over 4,000,000 views on YouTube. The Whittaker family was interviewed by CBS's The Early Show, and the video was mentioned by Matt Lauer in the Today Show.

Carlos and Heather Whittaker then used the popularity of this video to bring about the issue of adoption. They adopted their son Losiah from SeoulKorea in November 2006.
