Top 4 Discovery Health

Discovery Health has some very informational television shows that we can watch and enjoy. This article describes some of my favorite shows on this challenge. This is my channel of choice when I find the free time to sit down and watch TV. Discovery Health has something for everyone and about every medical condition known to humankind.

Medical Incredible details the medical stories of ordinary people who have incredible stories to share. At times, the show does get gory but the viewers learn that these accidents do not have to be fatal. One man lost four fingers in an accident at work. His fingers were shredded which made it near impossible to repair. The doctor was able to save two fingers but the man was still without the other two, so in ground breaking surgery the doctor used two of the man's toes as fingers. The show also reveals incredible pregnancy stories such as the woman pregnant with triplets, two in the womb and one outside.

Tourettes Uncovered is a show where this baffling medical condition is reveled in detail. What makes the people with tourettes behave as they do? What can help them stop the symptoms? This disorder affects many people and it is not as rare as one would think.

Birth Day is another show on Discovery Health that details the stories of mothers who are giving birth. These are stories of narrow escapes in the delivery room, dealing with the common conditions of pregnancy, which can be fatal for both mom and baby until they receive prompt medical attention. The show is full of information from the doctors, nurses, and parents involved. The show does get graphic at times, so viewer discretion is advised. It's on every weekday for your viewing pleasure.

19 and Counting is the story of the Druggar family who has 19 kids. This show allows us to see what happens within one of the bigger families in America. This family takes care of itself, and has great dynamics. One would imagine the kids are running and ill behaved, but that is so far from the truth. Family member love and respect each other and help as needed. Each older child is paired up with a younger child to provide one on one attention as well as guidance. This is the all-American family, just larger than usual.
