Dee
As global warming and other climate issues become more important, more and more people are opting for socially conscious weddings. These weddings are often held at exotic destinations throughout the world. What makes them different from other types of destination weddings is that the venues are typically environmentally friendly. The venue typically treats their workers fairly among many other things. Here I will list some great venues where the socially conscious couple can recite their vows.

1. Costa Rica

Costa Rica is known for its beautiful beaches, like many other countries along the Caribbean Sea. Many of the people who typically come here for destinations weddings enjoy the tropical climate. They can set up their wedding and reception at a local beach like this

2. Belize

Belize has a series of islands off of the coast that are perfect for people who want an environmentally friendly weddings. Typically, you can rent the small cayes(islands) out for $1500 a week. These islands are secluded which is perfect for your wedding and when your guests leave, the honeymoon.

Capetown may seem out of place on this list but it is not. It is little known how gorgeous Capetown is. It has beautiful beaches, waterways and mountains. This is location is the perfect destination wedding for people who are socially conscious. You can get married on the white sands and then go volunteer at other locations in South Africa. All of these locations have venues where you and your significant other can have the time of your life. Make sure you book your trip in advance and do not forget to make the whole wedding socially conscious. You can send out invitations made of recycled goods. You can make sure the dress you choose is made organically. You can make sure the rings were made fairly. Ir is important that I do not have any 'Blood Diamonds' as they say. The accommodations of all these locations have something for every type of green traveler.
