The Internet continues to grow in content exponentially. The vast amount of home videos, slide shows, and photos sometimes become famous overnight. This is caused by someone adding the video to their e-mail lists and making it viral in nature. It spreads quickly across the Internet creating a large number of views. This article shares four viral videos / slide shows that feature the humor of mathematics and animals.

1. Mathmaticious

Since Mathmaticious was developed as a spoof of "Fergilicious", the tune is similar. However, viewers who know anything about mathematics will split a gut at the creativity of this video artist. A high school student who epitomizes a nerd wrote, performed, and filmed this video. Many math teachers have shown this video to their high school algebra classes. The terms and illustrations that take place in the video provide opportunity for many mathematical discussions.

2. Playing Cat and Chipmunk

It's not too often that a chipmunk survives a cat attack. But how often do the cat and chipmunk come nose to nose and take turns pouncing on each other? "Playing Cat and Chipmunk" is a slide show of a sequence of still photography set to music. The images are adorable, and the music increases the intensity of their play. It is one of those feel good type of videos that amazes animal lovers.

3. The Sneezing Baby Panda

Want a short video to give you a quick laugh? Then this is the video for you. The baby panda sneezes. The thing is, the sneeze is super loud and makes the mama panda bear jump. Pandas are rare anyway, but to capture the sneeze on video made it quite unique indeed. They are typically described as cuddly and cute, so when a tiny little panda lets out a gigantic sneeze the viewer is caught off guard and can't help but laugh.

4. I Will Derive!

Teaching Calculus is sometimes dry and boring. Showing this video, however, will lighten the mood as students watch calculus students in a parody video of the song "I Will Survive." The performers struggle with a test until they remember how to use derivatives correctly. It is a funny, unique video that can also serve as a teaching tool.

These viral videos and/or slide shows highlight the humor in math and animals. The speed at which they are growing in views indicates their success. Be sure to leave a comment below about them!
