Rodgers showed everyone something last year. With one of the worst offensive lines in football he put up monster numbers and was only a play away from making a deep run in the playoffs with a chance at making a Super Bowl. Rodgers showed be operating behind a slightly better line, and has his weapons back for another season. The Packers should win the NFC North, and give Rodgers a fighting mans chance at a MVP award.
#4. Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings
I do not like Peterson's shot of winning MVP this season, but the name and history buys a player of his caliber a little extra credit than he deserves. Peterson will be playing on a good team with a potentially bad quarterback if Favre does not return. Peterson will be relied upon to but up big numbers although the offensive line has been unable to stop opposing defensive attacks. Peterson's best chance is for a return of Favre and a 1800+ yard season.
#3. Peyton Manning, QB, Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning is just a freak of nature. The consistency he plays at, at the talent level he plays at, is unmatched. Manning has won three MVP awards, but I see a change in store. Manning works with whatever he is given, but I see a little less production coming from his receivers and from the running back spot with Brown and the often injured Addai. Manning will be in the chase as always, but fall short this year.
#2. Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
Brees proved that he deserved the MVP in 2009 after leading the Saints to a Super Bowl victory the city of New Orleans so badly needed. Brees is getting the recognition he should receive, and will be a prime contender for the 2010 award. I like Brees' supporting cast more than Peyton's, and is why I am taking Brees in the 2 spot over the defending MVP Manning.
#1. Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans
It will be hard for Johnson not to get consideration after a 2,000 yard season last year. If Johnson has anywhere near as many yards in 2010, he will be the primary target for MVP. Sometimes it takes an unbelievable year to get your name in the running, and then a solid performance in the next year to land the MVP award. The Titans will be a better team and get off to a much better start which will also help Johnson's chances. It might take another 2,000 yard season to dethrone Manning, but I honestly think that Johnson has that in him.

fuck you livin....
If Johnson had another 2K that'd be amazing and he should get it... but the Titans need to start out much better.
