Top 5 all in one PCs: The Sony VAIO VGC-LV
Sony has always been right on the bleeding edge of innovation with top performance laptops, console entertainment systems, and TVs. it's no surprise that Sony took their tech to the all in one PC market with the Sony VAIO VGC.
The Sony VAIO VGC doesn't look like much and the appearance hardly justifies the cost. However, it has a massive amount of storage, above average gaming components, and a cool operating temperature. Don't get me wrong you're not going to be playing the latest game with ultra-high graphics, but you will be able to play it.
One of the worst things about the VAIO is its silver borders which have been found in leading television studies to distract the viewer's away from the screen. The VAIO all in one PC looks pretty much like a standalone LCD monitor, but it has so much more packed inside. One of the unfortunate draw -backs is that this system doesn't incorporate a touch screen, but many people will never use the touch screen anyway.
That's enough about the VAIO for now. You can read a complete review by clicking on the link in the subtitle. It's time to move on we still have 4 more all in one PCs to look at.
Top 5 all in one PCs: The IdeaCentre A600
The IdeaCentre A600 is another all in one PC that isn't much to look at. (One might even call it ugly) One of the first things you will likely notice when looking at this all in one PC, is the big bluish box at the bottom of the screen which houses a speaker. (Why they decided to use blue I'll never understand) However, it's potential for gaming while saving space and doing your daily business is nothing to be sneezed at.
This all in one PC comes with a 21.5 inch screen and all the ports you need. From a media reader to keyboard and mouse inputs and USB, you'll find it all. While this all in one PC isn't particularly beautiful it is considerably smaller than the average PC, and at least as powerful as your average laptop.
You may be asking yourself, if it's no better than a laptop why buy it? The answer is simple; this all in one PC comes with 4 in 1 remote, and can easily replace your bedroom TV; giving you all the power of a PC, while taking up no more space than a modern day flat screen. Who needs a TV anyway?
Top 5 all in one PCs: The Dell Studio One 19
Now this unit is one of the most beautiful in the lineup. The Dell Studio One has a black and silver frame with a pleasant curvature revealing the screen with no obstructions or distractions. This all in one PC could more accurately be called a work of art then a PC, but here it is one of the best looking PCs on the market for only $709.99.
The Dell Studio One features a 19 touch screen with a slightly laggy response time and when Nvidia coined the term "Play it the way it was meant to be played" they meant it. The Dell Studio all in one PC boasts 4 gigs of DDR-2800 memory and a Geforce 9 series video card capable of playing some of the hottest games on the market. This unit is well on par with the average household desktop PC, unfortunately one of the drawbacks of such a small structure is the difficulty of upgrades.
Top 5 all in one PCs: The HP TouchSmart IQ500t
The HP TouchSmart line is among the highest quality all in one PC lines and with a large 21.5inch screen, great touch screen functions, and a sturdy construction; The HP Touch Smart IQ500t is poised to take over the market.
The TouchSmart IQ500t has a black bezel frame, 4 gigs of DDR-2 memory, and a Geforce 9 series video card. If you're looking for a tightly-built small PC, that you can play your favorite games on then this is it. Unfortunately the appearance isn't all that fantastic; in actuality it looks rather bland.
Top 5 all in one PCs: The HP TouchSmart IQ816
The IQ816 features one of the largest screens found on the all in one PC markets; at a whopping 25.5 inches, it's more than large enough to replace your living room TV. As mentioned before the TouchSmart line is of the highest quality and this all in one PC is no exception to that rule.
The IQ816 can be used as an HDTV standalone unit, a PC, or both, in whatever situations demand it and has the enough power to put even some of the best laptops to shame with its 2.1 Ghz core 2 duo, 4 gigs of DDR-2 memory and 750 gig Hard Drive. While the IQ816 doesn't tout the highest performance of this lineup, it does have a very large screen that is prepared to be turned into and HDTV whenever you desire.
When shopping for all in one PCs one of the first things to look for is the amount of storage built in, and the appearance. Often times the reasoning behind an all in one is lack of space and the ability to replace the TV in the living room. However, if the PC looks horrible you won't want it out where everyone sees it. Though my favorite is the Dell Studio One, you may appreciate a more simple appearance such as the HP TouchSmart IQ816 or IQ500t.
