Top 5 American Idol Podcasts

If you are an American Idol fan and looking for some additional coverage or opinion related coverage of this season then you need to check out an American Idol podcast. Here are the top 5 American Idol podcasts on the Internet.

Killjoy's American Idol podcast is my personal favorite. He does a great job of providing the highlights, throwing in the best and worst songs of the show and blending things together. Beyond this his overuse of the word "umm" and quotes such as, "don't get me wrong, she's really hot" or "oh my god... oh my god... she really tortured that one" add a highly entertaining humor element to the podcast. This podcast is obviously done by a teen at home, and this provides honest and fresh opinions on the contestants which makes it a great American Idol podcast.

TIME's American Idol podcast is a definite number two on the list. This is backed by CNN so these guys get some great interviews and professional reporting. If you're looking for a recap, some behind the scenes, and a third party opinion on American Idol and anything relating to it then this is the podcast for you.

The American Idol podcast by NewsOK is a great one as well, don't miss this podcast. One of my favorite aspects about NewsOK's show is that it is a highly op-ed piece. If podcasts were judges then this show would be Simon, not afraid to tell the truth and lay out an opinion.

Another great option for a high end American Idol podcast can be found here. These guys do a couple things that I really like which includes the fact that their podcast comes up almost instantly after every results show. This means that you can go straight from results to this podcast and prolong your American Idol experience with highlights and recaps.

The American Idol Experience provides an excellent podcast which takes up the number 5 spot on my top 5 American Idol podcasts list. I love this show because of the impressive interviews as well as the length of each podcast, a whopping 30+ minutes. The only reason these guys didn't rank higher is that they lack some of the entertainment value offered by others.

Try out these American Idol podcasts, they vary a bit in what they provide and you will be sure to find something for you in these top 5 American Idol podcasts.
