Top 5 Best Makeup Videos for Women Over 40 on YouTube

Malina Debrie
Youtube with its thousands of videos has some that are great and some that are simply put 'ridiculous'. To get to some of the better ones on any one topic, one must sit still for a period of time and ease through the numerous multiple topics on one subject. Here, I've done the sorting for you and found the best ones providing the best guidance and instructions on complicated makeup tips.

Remember for the woman in her 40's or 50's and even 60's it's still important to make sure you are careful in pulling and manipulating your face. Don't stretch your skin when applying makeup. Try to be as gentle as possible to avoid some of the puffiness and sagging issues which will naturally occur but not hastened by your actions.

Debbie29Tips

Debbie is still in her 40's yet her make tips are great for the woman 40 and over. With a little knowledge, and self awareness about yourself and your face, you can be just as glamorous as the next woman in your age bracket. Remember it's all about confidence. Use makeup sparingly no matter what your age. Never plaster on the foundation, or eyeshadow and lipstick. When using makeup, always, always remember "less is more." Makeup is meant to enhance; not disguise. You still want to look like yourself and not like someone else after the makeup application. Debbie has worked to enhance her beauty yet continue to look like Debbie.

Bethainy

In this video, Bethainy is applying makeup on her mother who is well over 50. However, with the makeup used and the tips indicated, her mother looks completely natural and makeup free. With a little time and experimenting with makeup, cleansing products and powders you to can be as natural looking as Bethainy's mother. It's all about making yourself look like you while keeping the makeup light and refreshing.

Kandeejohnson

Kandee does a great tutorial showing women how to apply different makeups. She also offers tips for defining the face along with hiding imperfections. We all have them. With some females the imperfections may be a little more obvious or dense due to stress, work environment and even outside activities. Before applying any makeup, make sure you remove all dead skin and cleanse thoroughly. Likewise, before going to bed or to sleep, make sure you have removed all makeup from your face. An astringent is excellent to use after cleansing to tighten and remove any remaining makeup. Even though her video is entitled "Hot Cougar Make-Up Look" her tips are more generic than for the woman who wants to be or thinks she is a cougar. However, with a little more intensity in your application, you could be described as a cougar if so desired.

Herve Bernard

Sometimes a man knows so much more about what makes a woman look good than women. In this video, Herve Barnerd offers some excellent tips on applying makeup. For those women who need a little help in making themselves look better by simple good makeup applications, this video is very good. Even applying powder by sprinkling rather than rubbing can be used by the woman who needs a little powder because she may suffer with eye or nose allergies. Remember applying and the use of makeup is a 'personal' thing. Make sure you are using makeup tips based on what is best for you.

10yearsyoungerofficial

As it is in the title of this video, the model looks gorgeous after she is transformed by the makeup artist. Without a doubt, her makeover is one that really defines the use of makeup: to enhance and not disguise. The model looks the same as she did when she began but her features are enhanced. Which is the effect most of us would like when using makeup. Less is more and even her lips look like the natural thing after the very rich yet, demur lip color and gloss. Using a gloss is not the norm for women 50 or older. It is okay, however, make sure and find the gloss that makes your lipstick appear sheer and not highlighted.

There are several hundred videos on youtube with information that is useful and some that can cause more damage than improvement to your look. As stated before, makeup is a personal thing. You can use a makeup artist and tips from the experts, but make sure they work for you. When it really comes down to it, make sure you are happy with the results.

Never wear it. My mother is still horrified. Good article though and I would rethink it but I do love keeping my mother clucking.
