The Top 5 Brad Pitt Movies of All-Time
5. Twelve Monkeys - This creepy and twisted look into the future (and past) follows several characters and their roles in the demise of modern civilization as we know it. In the post-apocalyptic future world, a disease ravaged human society lives underground to survive. Pitt plays Jeffrey Goines, son of a rich and powerful father, part-time mental patient and potential evil schemer. He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this role. The movie also stars Bruce Willis.
4. Spy Game - Starring alongside Robert Redford, Pitt plays Tom Bishop, a young CIA secret operative who was brought into the game and trained by Redford's character, the experienced and crafty Nathan Muir. Muir teaches Bishop all of his tricks as Bishop at once models his entire life after his and also strives to be entirely different from his mentor. A woman with a sketchy past enters Bishop's life, forcing both Bishop and Muir into potentially life and career threatening situations.
3. Seven - Directed by David Fincher, this dark crime drama is a far cry from the typical cop or buddy movie. Pitt plays Detective David Mills, happily married to wife Tracy, played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Working in a new station, he is partnered with Detective Somerset, played by Morgan Freeman, in the quest to solve a series of gruesome murders and attacks based on the seven deadly sins. Kevin Spacey also stars in the movie, which features a fantastic twist ending.
2. Snatch - This raucous and frenetically paced crime-comedy-drama follows a slew of characters involved in the underbelly of the London crime scene. Fixed boxing matches, murderous vendettas, pig farms, high-stake robberies and a series of twists, turns and unexpected story connections highlight this great movie. Not to mention unforgettable characters such as Boris the Bullet Dodger, Bullet Tooth Tony, Frankie "Four Fingers" and the bare knuckle boxing champion gypsy Mickey, played by Pitt. He stars alongside a great cast including Jason Statham, Benicio del Toro, Vinnie Jones and a handful of other recognizable names.
1. Fight Club - Another David Fincher movie, this one is of course based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel. Pitt plays Tyler Durden, who becomes increasingly more influential in the life of a character played by Edward Norton, whose name we never know. Norton soothes his sole by attending self-help groups for problems he doesn't have. When his apartment is destroyed, he ends up living with Durden, and the two begin Fight Club, a place where men can unwind by beating each other into submission, which quickly spirals out of control and takes on a life of its own. Fast paced and action filled, with an ending that will force you to re-watch the flick immediately after you're finished with it the first time, Fight Club is a movie you have to see to believe.
