Top 5 Brad Pitt Movies

Birdie Grace
Brad Pitt is one of Hollywood's most well-known celebrities. After a failed marriage to Jennifer Aniston, a highly publicized relationship with Angelina Jolie, and numerous blockbusters to his name it's no wonder his image is plastered on just about every magazine cover. While the gossip certainly is entertaining and juicy, here's a look at the more artistic side of Brad Pitt. Here, in no particular order, are what I consider Brad Pitt's top five movies.

1) Se7en

In this movie a serial killer systematically kills off people who represent the seven deadly sins. His first victim, gluttony brings together Detective Somerset played by Morgan Freeman and Detective Mills played by Brad Pitt. As they delve into the killings they come to find that the murderer has quite an intricate plan laid out. While Brad Pitt generally plays the good-looking protagonist, in this movie Brad Pitt comes off as quite a cad. It certainly was nice to see him stretch beyond his typical type-casting.

2) Fight Club

Who doesn't love this movie? As Edward Norton's alternate personality, Brad Pitt's Tyler Durden plots to take down the major banking corporations in an effort to make everyone equal. The movie begins with Edward Norton's character escaping from his dull reality by starting a fight club and quickly spirals out of control as his alternate personality begins to dictate more and more of how he behaves. On the eve of disaster, the realization that Tyler Durden is a figment of his imagination brings the movie to a stunning conclusion. The all-star cast of Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter truly creates a movie worth watching.

3) Snatch

Funny accents, a particularly ripped Brad Pitt, and a dog that swallows a squeaky toy make this movie one of the best. In this movie Brad Pitt plays a particularly amazing boxer who gets caught up in the dirty politics and crime behind the British boxing world. With so many twists and turns and a whole host of important characters, it's difficult to really summarize this movie. It's a must see.

4) Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Also known as the movie where the relationship between Angie and Brad is said to have sparked. While this movie may not be the greatest art of all time, it certainly is entertaining to watch. Who can't enjoy watching two beautiful people try to kill each other in ever increasingly creative ways and then unite to defeat their common enemies? This movie, is one of Brad Pitt's most enjoyable.

5) Meet Joe Black

Brad Pitt... as the Grim Reaper.... Did anyone see that coming? Playing opposite Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt holds his ground. When death comes calling for media mogul Bill Parrish, an agreement is struck that delays Parrish's imminent demise in order for him to give Joe Black a tour of life. The twist comes when Joe Black falls for Parrish's daughter making life (and death) much more complicated.
