Top Celebrity Chef #1: Curtis Stone
Curtis Stone is one hot Australian chef on his series Take Home Chef.Take Home Chef was a show on TLC where Stone would meet people in the grocery store and go home to help them cook a dinner for their loved one. He creates amazing dishes that are actually easy to make at home. Stone likes to take great natural, organic ingredients and let them shine. His cookbook Relaxed Cooking with Curtis Stone is a must in the kitchen when trying to impress your friends. Stone was most recently seen on Celebrity Apprentice and Iron Chef America.
Top Celebrity Chef #2: Bobby Flay
It seems that Bobby Flay is everywhere these days. He has been seen on Boy Meets Grill, Grill It!, Hot Off the Grill, Food Nation, The Main Ingredient, The Next Food Network Star, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, and Iron Chef America, to name a few. Best known for his grilling specialties, Flay is an American chef with a little kick. He loves adding peppers to just about anything to give that extra flavor. On top of his television success, Flay is the owner and executive chef of 10 restaurants. My personal favorite show of Flay's is Throwdown with Bobby Flay. He surprises chefs and challenges them to a competition. These challengers have become experts of a certain dish after several years, while Flay competes with his own rendition of that same dish after three or so days of preparation. Flay is an American icon of cooking and is simply a joy to watch in the kitchen.
Top Celebrity Chef #3: Duff Goldman
The Ace of Cakes star, Duff Goldman is known for his outlandish ideas and crazy cakes. He creates extreme cakes of all kinds, shapes, and exploding devices. In his shop Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, Maryland, Goldman hired all his friends to build the most creative cakes you will ever see. His shop seems like a party all the time with constant practical jokes and laughter. Who wouldn't want to make cakes all day with your friends? On one episode, Goldman exhibited that he can do more than make cakes. He cooked a full meal for his entire staff that looked delectable. Goldman continues to prove his creativity on several guest appearances on the Food Network Channel.
Top Celebrity Chef #4: Paula Dean
The ultimate southern cook, Paula Dean, is such a lovable chef. She says exactly what we are thinking and adds butter to just about everything. She loves to create southern deep fried specialties and just about any other southern dish. She stars on three Food Network shows and has created an empire for herself. The self-taught cook has brought a face to down south cooking.
Top Celebrity Chef #5: Rachael Ray
Rachael Ray seems to encompass the housewife chef. She has had several shows and appearances on the Food Network, several of which show Ray in a very homey kitchen. Best known for her 30-minute meals, Ray has quick tips to make any meal for your family, dinner party, or holiday.
With several new cooking shows sprouting up, it will be a pleasure to see what new chefs become icons of cooking. Shows to look out for: Top Chef and Top Chef Masters on Bravo, The Next Food Network Star on Food Network, Chefs v. City on Food Network, and Private Chefsof Beverly Hills on Food Network.
