Top 5 Christmas Carol CDs

Michelle K. Miller
One of the biggest and best joys of Christmas is the music played during the holiday season. From our old favorite Christmas carols, to some of the newer songs, we love to sing these songs at parties, performances, and while caroling. Here are five of my favorite Christmas carol CDs.

1. Now That's What I Call Christmas! Volume 2: I just recently purchased this CD because it has a perfect balance of carols sang by the old crooners and singers, and musical artists of today. From just $7.97 on Amazon or $14.84 Amazon MP3, this is a great deal, because you get 36 great carols and new Christmas songs. It's a great investment, and you won't be sorry you bought it.

2. Let it Snow Baby... Let it Reindeer by Relient K: I have the old Christmas CD, "Deck the Halls, Bruise Your Hand," and this is the same CD, redone with added songs. I've heard the new songs, and I love them. This album contains old carols, with a new pop-punk twist, and some of Relient K's own songs. It's really upbeat, and I loved singing along.

3. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer/The Island of Misfit Toys Soundtrack: Not only do you get your favorite Christmas carols on CD, but it makes you reminisce about the TV Christmas special from the 1960s, as well. Sing along with Rudolph, Hermy, and others, when you listen to this CD.

4. Noel by Josh Groban: This album celebrates Christmas with the almost operatic voice of Josh Groban. His rich, full vocals make Christmas come alive, with these spiritual Christmas carols. This is a must-not-miss CD.

5. Let it Snow by Michael Buble: This album is relatively short, with only six tracks, but is one of my favorites. If you like the sound of old crooners, but with a new twist, Michael Buble is the artist you've been looking for. And with the voice he has, it makes Christmas carols irresistable.

Whether you like old timey-style Christmas carols, or you perfer old classics with a new beat, or you enjoy new Christmas music all together, then please check out these five albums, and add them to your Christmas music collection.
