Top 5 Christmas Gift Ideas for Your Son

Wondering What You Should Get Your Son for Christmas? Stop Here, the Worry is Over

K. Anderson
After buying Christmas presents for the same guy every year for 5 years, I feel that I now know a lot about guys and what kind of presents they want. I remember being 15 and wondering what I should get him, nervous that he wouldn't like my gift, so I wanted to write this to help all of you who are looking for a gift for your Son, or simply need a gift for a guy. So here are what I feel to be the top 5 gifts for your Son:

1- Electronics (ipod, gps, tv)

Now, depending on how much you want to spend this Christmas, electronics are something that you can't go wrong buying for your Son. Whether you want to get him an Ipod, a TV, a GPS, or something else, he will forever be grateful. You can get your son a GPS so that he will always be able to find his way places, or you can get him an Ipod so that he can listen to music wherever he goes. You could also get him a TV for his room, or a laptop to do his homework on. Any of these electronics would make your son happy.

2- Candy/Cookies

-When it comes to guys you can never fail with food. Growing up with an older brother, I pretty much got him some type of candy or cookies every year for Christmas, and he was always happy. Even now that he is 23 that makes him happy- so if you think it's weird to get candy for Christmas, don't- he'll like it. Kids especially like treats that are made by their parents, because Mom's the best cook, right? So make your son some cookies or buy him some candy, he'll be very happy.

3- Gift Card

-Here is another one of those you never fail gifts. Every guy will be happy with a gift card. You can get your son a gift card to one of his favorite clothing stores, or gear it more towards the sports and hunting type stores. Regardless of where the gift card is too, any guy will be glad to get a gift card that he can spend. You may have better chances just doing this than buying him something that he will just return anyways. So if you don't really know a particular thing he wants, I would definitely recommend giving your son a gift card.

4- DVD's

-Now try to prove me wrong, but I feel like guys are obsessed with movies. This is one thing that I can always count on to get my brother, dad, or boyfriend if I have no other ideas. In fact, I tend to get DVD's for both my brother and boyfriend each year. Yes that's repetitive, but the guys love movies and I am happy that I have an easy present to give them.

5-Video Game (or video game system)

Last but not least you can get your son a video game or video game system. I feel like most guys these days are obsessed with some kind of system or game. Whether it be a classic like Nintendo, or a newer game like Call of Duty on systems like the Play Station 3, you can never go wrong with a video game.

So there are my tips for Christmas gifts to get your son. If you can't find something here then you may be out of luck, but I feel like any of these options, or a combination of some, will make any guy happy.
