The Best Movies for Christmas Time

Jim Kelly
Who doesn't love Christmas movies? They all have a happy ending and they all bring you back to when you were a little kid and the magic and the power that the holiday holds. It truly is a magical time of year when you want to believe that Santa Claus is real again and you want to wake up Christmas morning with presents stacked high under the tree. No better feeling can duplicate that of when you were young than the mood of Christmas movies. I've compiled a list of Christmas movies that I've always enjoyed watching.

5. The Santa Clause - Tim Allen is the star in this very funny comedy about a non-believer Dad who actually becomes Santa himself. He goes through a long journey of understanding and all he wants to do is share his experience with his son. This is a great holiday film which was followed by two sequels, but none seem to match the magic of the original.

4. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - This is a classic Christmas movie that is always on come Christmas time. It follows the tough journey of Rudolph as he tries to become a reindeer on Santa's sleigh. It's a classic movie that was built on the classic song and will keep you and your family entertained again and again.

3. White Christmas - A great Christmas musical and one for the ages. You can't go wrong picking this movie to watch Christmas morning to keep the mood alive or throughout the week to keep your holiday spirits up. It's a feel good movie and the entertainment value for such a great movie is definitely worth it.

2. Miracle on 34th Street - A great movie about childhood and adolescence and how we all good use a little faith in believing what we want to believe in. This movie truly brings you back to when you were a kid and makes you want to believe in Santa Claus. This movie should be in everyone's collection and should be one of those movies you sit down and watch with your family every Christmas.

1. It's A Wonderful Life - The quintessential Christmas movie starring James Stewart about getting another chance at life and how amazing it truly is. It will make you appreciate your family, your friends, and your life in ways you never thought you would. It does not revolve around Christmas but it helps you realize what the holiday is for.
