1. Emagination. This computer camp is for kids who love technology. Emagination has been in service seen 1982, and was founded in Connecticut. There are now computer camps operating near Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Illinois, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Boston, Massachusetts. With their mission to educate, entertain, and help develop healthy kids, Emagination offers programs in leadership as well as specialty technology. Emagination is family-owned by Craig & Julie Whiting, and is a accredited by the American Camp Association.
2. Techno-tainment Summer Camp. This summer camp runs one-week sessions Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30 pm. With the latest tools in technology and programs in creating content, this summer camp even has a stage for students to feature their unique presentations. Courses being offered in 2009 include the Video Game Creation Track, Production Track, Multimedia Youth Track, Design Track, Animation Track, Engineering Track, and Programming Track.
3. iD Tech Camps. The tenth season of iD Tech Camps is almost upon us! Offering technology programs for boys and girls ages 7-17, teen academies are also offered for students ages 13-18. Learners of all levels can create 2D and 3D video games, design animated websites, and learn the basics of 3D character modeling. Students can also film and edit digital movies, create comic books, and even learn a bit of programming.
4. National Computer Camps. At each location, residential and day camp programs are offered. Here, safety and supervision are the main priority. Each camp director is on location 24 hours a day. With programs for those age 8 to 18, National Computer Camps boasts a camper to staff ratio of 6:1. National Computer Camps always has a large number of returning campers, counselors, and directors.
5. Western State College of Colorado. This computer camp is for 8th and 9th grade students who are interested in math or computer science. Western State College offers a Wilderness Pursuits program that combines academics with recreational activities, such as hiking, rafting, mountain biking, and rock climbing.
