Here are some tips on how to eat your cookies while counting calories.
1) Having a glass of milk with your cookie is a great idea because not only does it go well with cookies but milk is also a hardy nutritious drink that is rich in protein that will help fill you and satisfy your hunger.
2) Never eat cookies on an empty stomach. This is always a bad idea when counting calories. Cookies can be permitted while counting calories as long as you eat the cookies as a quick fix for your sweet tooth. If you are hungry and have a plate of cookies in front of you chances are that you will end up making a meal out of the cookies.
3) Limit your cookie intake. Before you take a bite you will need to plan out how many cookies you are going to have and make sure to stick to that plan. You must consider the plan as written in stone because once you taste the cookie you will start to compromise your strategy. You may say to yourself, "Instead of 1 cookie I can have 3 if I cut back on dinner and walk," but this kind of "thinking" is weak minded and it takes strength and grit to successfully count calories.
Here are the 5 best types of cookies to eat while counting calories.
Oatmeal Cookies- Oatmeal cookies are a great cookie to indulge in. They are hearty and packed with fiber so you will eat less and feel satisfied. These are huge factors to consider when counting calories.
Cookies with nuts- It's true, nuts are packed with calories, but they are also packed with fiber and protein. Eating seems like a bad idea when counting calories but you must look at it as a wise investment. You may be forfeiting more calories up front but the protein and fiber in nuts will surely pay off before the day is over.
Peanut Butter Cookies- Peanut butter cookies have all the same benefits as the cookies with nuts but are much more popular and easy to find and go a lot better with milk.
Applesauce Cookies- For those that don't know you can use applesauce in your regular cookie recipe to replace the eggs and oil. It may sound strange but this simple substitution will cut calories and produce a tasty cookie.
Mothers Cookies- This is the way to go for the hardcore calorie counter who only wants a taste of sugar. Eating Mothers cookies works well psychologically for the calorie counting cookie eater because in our minds numbers hold great meaning without consideration for the portion size. So when a calorie counter is on their 3rd cookie they start to feel guilty even if it's a tiny little Mothers cookie.
Enjoy your cookies and stick to your plan!
