A new crop of astonishing designers are presenting their distinctive styles to the market each year. Yet, some are reaching heights never thought possible in the first year right out of fashion design school. These are shrewd and demanding times with consumers requiring more appeal, taste and harmony in their designs before giving up their hard earned money. Here are the top 5 designers introduced during the 2011 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Irina Shabbayeva

She is said to be quickly moving up in the ranks as one of the most promising designers in fashion. Born in the Republic of Georgia, Irina graduated from the Parsons School of Design in 2003. During her tenure at Parsons, Irina was awarded with the prestigious Saga Design Award. The award allowed her the opportunity to study Fur designs in Denmark. Irina used black and gray incorporated to express unique ideas in fashion with the understanding that the colors are intricate and can make fashion statements that transcend time.

Joy Cioci

She is an F.I.T. graduate with the New York label Wink behind her. Joy Cioci was a previous designer with Chelsea flowers which was a design line of both modern and romantic wear for women. She has a unique way of using ruffles. She makes them cascade and flow sending the wearing into a dimension of freshness and coolness without seeming to sweet. With the ruffles, she chooses sophisticated fabrics like silks and crepe de chines that can be hand washed making sure she is considerate of the economics of her customer. Her signature look is the two piece dress similar to the 1970 Diane Van Furstenburg wear. Frank Tell

Already making a statement with little more than a handful of collections available, Frank Tell is evolving with showstopping multi-yarn knits.His 2011 pieces were constructed with ten different kinds of yarns that were draped and worn across the body in more unique ways than could be imagined. He even had a interesting take on the motorcycles jacket. Tell used Alligator as the material. He said as he was discuss ing the jacket backstage, "I love it." Interestingly enough, the jacket was detailed with cashmere and fox trim and had an unfinished hemline. Domenico Vacca

Couture, Denim & sportswear, Handbags, Shoes, Accessories, Jewelry, Ready to Wear, Watches and Leather Good & Luggage, his collection is complete. Domenico Vacca has the line that encompasses the entire fashion world for men and women. Who wears his designs: Well just about anyone who is anyone: Dustin Hoffman, Alan Arkin, Jamie Foxx, Glenn Close, Isaiah Washington, Forest Whitaker, Ivanka Trump, Christopher Plummer and Will Ferrell and the list goes on. He has a tremendous following in Hollywood with a continuously growing list. With a conservative style that seems to draw attention, Domenico is moving up in the world of Hollywood and his name is on the list of Hollywood's elite.

Allegri (The Architects of Fabrics)

Defined as the designs of historical outerwear, the Allegri brand was established in 1960. The design specialty is raincoats, trenchcoats, jackets short or long. The headquarters is in Vinci Florence with the Allegri family as 60% shareholders and the Orlando Italy Equity Firm holding the other 40%. Their production plant is in Florence and it employs 130 employees. There they also have a showroom by the name of the Spazio Allegri located on the Via Stendlhal in Milan; Which is in the heart of the Tortona Zone of Florence.
