Top 5 Draft Picks Round 1 2010 NFL Draft

#1. Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa (Green Bay pick #23)
The Packers get top honors here because of their patience in waiting to get an offensive lineman, and their execution of not taking any bait to move down here. This is an absolutely perfect fit, and the most needed player for the Packers as Aaron Rodgers could not stay standing last year and still put up Pro Bowl numbers.

#2. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska (Detroit Lions pick #2)
Draft experts were unsure about which direction the Lions would go at #2, but they went in the right direction by selecting the best player in the draft in Ndamukong Suh. This was a draft and a pick that the Lions could not afford to mess up, and they scored big by taking Suh.

#3. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma (Tampa Bay pick #3)
Not a flashy pick, but the Bucs did exactly what they needed to do, address the defensive line and McCoy is a great pick here and will change the defense.

#4. Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State (Seattle Seahawks pick #6)
Okung falling to the Seahawks at #6 was somewhat surprising and ended in a scenario that made the 2010 NFL Draft a very good one for the Seahawks. Taking Okung instead of reaching for Bryant or Spiller was clearly the right move and will benefit any quarterback in Seattle for many years to come.

#5. Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State (Dallas Cowboys pick #24)
Dallas did a very good job of holding on for as long as they possibly could before moving up without giving up much of their future to get a game changing receiver. Bryant fell because of off the field issues, which have never bothered Jerry Jones. Bryant will make Dallas a scary opponent for any secondary. Although they may have bigger needs than wide receiver, this was a great pick.
