Below are five ESL sites that have forums for teachers and tutors. Most of the sites have specific message boards on a wide range of topics, so be sure to check each one of them out for information about a topic that is relevant to your work as an ESL or EFL teacher.
http://www.eslcafe.com/-This site has topics for everyone, from those searching on information on how to teach English to deaf students to those looking for their first job teaching English. It's a very active site, with lots of great information on lesson plans, activities, games, etc. for ESL teachers.
http://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/-There are lots of ads on the site, but it has good resources and very recent posts and replies about several different topics pertaining to new and experienced teachers. Look around all of the ads for the information that you're looking for.
http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/-This forum has boards dedicated to vocabulary, grammar, and to the specifics of using English. It is geared towards those learning English, but it does have a board for teachers. It is a good place to find new lesson plan or activity ideas. There's even a section on phonetics and pronunciation.
http://www.english-test.net/forum/-This site is mainly for students who are taking English language exams that will help them get into English-speaking colleges and universities. There are sections for students to get good feedback on test questions and essays they have written for practice exams. This is a good place for teachers to learn more about a particular test his/her students may have to take in order to gain entrance into the college or university of his/her choice. This site is also a good resource for those teachers who want to learn more about a particular test so that he or she can become a proficient tutor of it.
http://www.everythingesl.net/askjudie/-This site is geared mainly toward ESL/ELL teachers in the public school system in the United States. The site has several resource pages for this category of teachers as well. It is a fairly active site, with messages being answered and replied to pretty regularly.
