If you are going all the way to Europe though then you will want to make sure you only go to the best European ski resorts. Being state side though it might be hard for you to find out where the top European ski resorts are though. For those who do not know Europe well this article well let you know where the best European ski resorts are.

Chamonix Mont-Blanc

Chamonix Mont-Blanc was the home of the very first Winter Olympic games back in 1924. Mont-Blanc is one of the world's most famous ski resorts. You don't get to be one of the most famous and be a bad resort. Mont-Blanc is the mountain that you ski on and is the highest in the Alps and the second highest peak in Europe. The height of Mont-Blan gives resort the longest vertical drop which is great for skiers looking for speed. For the intermediate skiers Mont-Blanc has the world's longest run as well. The longest run is Vallée Blanche and is 13.7 miles long. Vallée Blanche is so long that it offers a little bit of everything. Thanks to its fame, history, and record holding runs Mont-Blanc is one of the top European ski resorts.

Cortina is one of the oldest ski resort in the world. Cortina may not have the top slopes but as a destination it is one of the best. There is a main street that is only for pedestrians. Cortina has the old world charm of old Europe but in a ski resort and with the most modern luxuries. Cortina may not be the best resort for skiing but it is the best Italy has.

People have been skiing in Kitzbuhel for over 100 years now. t is so old because it was obvious it would make for good skiing, when. It offers excellent all around skiing. All the snow means lots of soft powder to soften crashes. Of course lots of snow helps everyone especially those who take advantage of Zermatts size to get lots of speed. Beginners will also enjoy seeing the area if they find they do not enjoy skiing or physically tire of it.

St. Moritz Switzerland

St. Moritz may be the most famous ski resort in the world. St. Moritz was one of only two places to have not one but two Olympic games. While St. Moritz is a good all around ski destination it is also one of the best for cross country skiing. The resort part of St. Moritz is one of the biggest and classiest in the world. If you took out the skiing St. Moritz would still be a top tourist destination. The views are some of the best including a view glaciers that can be seen on some runs. Going to St. Moritz is a unique experience that you should experience at least once if you are a skier.
