Top 5 Extended Stay Amenities Hotels

Logan McCall
Extended business travel shouldn't require a lower standard of living, and it doesn't have to with the amenities offered at these top extended stay hotels. Whether you are an industry leader in a major American city or an employee finding himself assigned to a Podunk town for a spell, extended stay hotels like these offer the amenities you deserve after a day on the go.

Residence Inn

Residence Inn is an extended stay hotel that offers excellent amenities for both the lone businessman and the relocating family alike. Renowned for their family friendly staff and atmosphere, Residence Inn is considered one of the better extended stay hotels if you have young ones in your party. They are consistently very well rated by business travelers with the way they separate the work, living and eating areas throughout each suite, free WiFi and comfortable working area. As one can feel a little isolated during an extended business stay, Residence Inn provides social hours and BBQ's that give you a chance to chat with others who are in the same boat.

TownePlace Suites

TownePlace Suites is an excellent middle ground for extended stay hotels that manages to be both affordable and offer excellent amenities for business travelers who need a place that feels like home at the end of the day. Residence Inn's low-cost sibling brand in the Marriott family of hotels, TownePlace suites still delivers all of the amenities of a higher cost extended stay hotel, with complete kitchens, spacious suites and comfortable bedding. Personally, I find the unassuming furnishings of TownePlace suites much more welcoming than those geared toward more corporate guests.

Hyatt Summerfield Suites

Style meets comfort at Hyatt Summerfield Suites, an extended stay hotel that offers modernly designed and spacious suites that are tastefully furnished with an eye for the contemporary that manages to remain warm and welcoming. Free high speed internet is free in every suite, and WiFi is available as well. All suites come with a comfy sleeper sofa and flat screen television to help you unwind.

If your taste for modern luxury and furnishings borders except only the best, the prestigious aka. extended stay hotels are probably for you. The suites at aka. hotels are more properly described as luxury apartments with impeccable hotel services. While the stylish living room may resemble the lobby of a cosmetic dentist's office to the untrained eye, rest assured that it represents the cutting edge of cosmopolitan sophistication.

Staybridge Suites

Staybridge Suites consistently rates very highly with business travelers who have stayed at other extended stay hotels that charge far more. This is no doubt due to their successful mix of the warmth of being at home with everything you need to get your work done. If you're traveling on your own, there is a Sundowner Reception in the evening with food and drinks that might provide an opportunity to socialize. Free WiFi internet is available throughout the building and their is a deluxe breakfast buffet available every morning.

Knew about all of these except the Staybridge. Our favorite is always Hampton Inn but will look into these others as well.
