Bridget Ilene Delaney
People love pizza. Teenagers especially seem to love pizza. It's easy to grab and eat. It can be messy, but a good piece of pizza can be grabbed and easily eaten on the go. While this is known about pizza, there are many facts about pizza that are fun to know.

Growing Pizza?

It is known that pizza can't grow, no matter what is heard in Wall-E . Of course, some of the ingredients for pizza can be grown. It would be great if pizza could be grown because Americans eat about 350 slices of pizza per year. This equals about 100 acres of pizza.

Pizza Is Love

Ever since modern pizza was created, it has been popular for at least a few people. However, Dean Martin made people fall in love with eating pizza. This is because of the song "That's Amore." The first line of the song is, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore." This made people want to eat pizza.

Police Pizza

It seems that pizza acted as police in a way. It at least gave police clues. A ring of car thieves was found because of pizza. The thieves wold steal Hondas and eat pizza in them. They would drive the Hondas and strip them of anything valuable. After they had stripped the cars, they would leave the pizza boxes in the car, sometimes with half eaten pizza in the boxes or on the seats of the car. The name of the pizzeria was on the boxes, but there were no receipts. Police were able to find one of the thieves by visiting the pizzeria. He was working behind the counter.

Pizza Is Not Seafood

Some of the new toppings that have become popular for pizza are shrimp and crawfish. However, they are not in the list of the most wanted toppings. It is obvious that people do not want pizza to be seafood because anchovies are the least wanted pizza topping.

Pumpkin Pizza?

There are recipes for pumpkin pizza, but these are dessert pizzas that do not have tomato sauce. Whether a regular pizza or a dessert pizza is made, it would seem appropriate to make a pizza-o-lantern by putting a face on the pizza.
