Top 5 Fast Food Meals

Some Great Fast Food Meal Options

amanda
1. A (Somewhat) Healthy Option.
Quiznos Classic Cobb Salad
I love this salad because it has so much going on! in every bite there is something new to taste, it is loaded with chicken, bacon, hard boiled eggs, bleu cheese crumbles, tomatoes, and red onions. It also comes with a side of ranch, which I rarely find the need for. The bleu cheese and onions provide more than enough flavor for the salad, and by skipping the dressing you are cutting out needless calories! Also if you are addicted to carbs (like I am) you get flatbread with your salad as well. You can make your own chicken wrap and still have a substantial side salad to munch on. You definitely get a lot of flavor with this meal!

2. The Diet Killer
KFC'S Double Down
I am sure by now you have heard of the Double Down at KFC. From top to bottom it goes like this: one fried chicken patty (thats right! no bread!) a layer of swiss cheese, two strips of bacon, and one more chicken patty. It is a sandwich using fried chicken instead of bread. When this sandwich came out I vowed never to try it, but temptation got the best of me and I caved in. You know when you go to a county fair and you see a sign for fried oreos and think "who eats that?" and five minutes later you are sitting by the ferris wheel devouring your second order? That is what a double down is like. It is carnival food on steroids, and it is delicious! Obviously I would not recommend this as an everyday item, but when you have a craving for something savory, gooey, crunchy, salty, and fattening look no further.

3. The Best Way To Start Your Day
McDonald's Egg McMuffin Meal
Combine a hard fried/ poached egg, Canadian bacon, and American cheese; put it on an English muffin an you have pure breakfast genius! Order this with a side of hash browns and an iced coffee or orange juice and you have just experienced one of the best meals at McDonalds! For some reason I can never quite figure out how to replicate the eggs they make. Its a cross between poaching them and hard frying them that is just plain addictive!

4. The Best Burger Around
A Number #1 at In 'n' Out
Sorry to those of you who don't live near an In 'N' Out. If its any consolation I am thousands of miles away from the nearest White Castle, and I am sure I am missing out. However, nothing beats a double double (two all beef patties with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and their famous thousand island dressing. Onions are optional but completely encouraged!). The double double with fries and a chocolate milkshake is probably the best reason I can think of to come to California. The meat melts in your mouth, the fries are always cooked to perfection, and the milkshakes here are beyond compare.

5. A Socially Conscious Taco
The Chicken Soft Taco at Chipotle
Not only is all the food simple and delicious, but Chipotle uses free range meats in all their food. The animals don't get injected with growth hormones or antibiotics, and are allowed to live outside of cages. This company also donates to veterinarian programs, and other worthwhile causes (which you can read about on their take-out cups!). My personal favorite taco is the adobo marinated chicken, with cheese, fresh romaine lettuce and a ton of super spicy red salsa. Add some chips and guacamole on the side, along with an ice cold Corona and you are staring at some of the best fast food around!
