These fishing areas are stocked by the Cleveland Metroparks and the Ohio Division of Wildlife. These are the top five fishing location in Cleveland, OH and in its surrounding suburbs.

1. Lake Erie

Location: Bay Village inside of the Huntington Reservation

Fish: Yellow perch, white perch, catfish, white bass, bullheads, walleye, and steelhead.

This lake offers a great variety of fish. It has four fishing piers. You can fish from the shore or boat. Ice fishing is also available during the winter months. This is one of the best choices for fishing in Cleveland.

2. Rocky River - Main Channel

Location: Rocky River Reservation

Fish: Walleye, yellow perch, sheephead, steelhead, trout, smallmouth bass, catfish, salmon, northern pike, bullhead, and carp.

This amazing river offers a large array of fish. This is very popular fishing location. This river is great for stream fishing.

3. Wallace Lake

Location: Mill Stream Run Reservation

Fish: Largemouth bass, carp, catfish, brown bullhead, white crappie, and rainbow trout.

This lake is 16 acres large and offers a nice variety of fish. This is a family-friendly lake that offers a children's fishing program.

4. Ledge Lake

Location: Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township

Fish: crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and catfish.

This lake has over 4 acres of fishing area. This lake offers shore fishing only. During the winter months, ice fishing starts and you can fish for rainbow trout.

5. Chagrin River - West Branch

Location: South Chagrin Reservation

Fish: rock bass, crappie, carp, bluegill, smallmouth bass, suckers, bullhead, catfish, and sunfish.

This is a great location for steam fishing. This location also offers fly fishing but it is not an easy task.
