Top 5 Gifts for Dad

As I have gotten older, I have found it harder and harder to find a gift for my dad weather it is father's day, Christmas or his birthday. Since my dad pretty much has what he wants and needs, the pickin's a bit slim on ideas but I have come up with a few ideas if you are also having some trouble brainstorming on gifts for dad!

Gift Cards

You cannot go wrong with a gift card to his favorite restaurant, home improvement store, or even just a visa gift card that he can use anywhere that accepts visa gift cards. Dad will be able to select what he wants and/or needs right now rather than you struggling finding the perfect gift for him yourself.

Photo Frame

Weather you get an electronic photo frame or an old fashioned photo frame or a scrapbook, you can get together some old pictures and put them together in a photo frame for your dad to recall those memories from when you were a child. It's something he'll always love.

Sporting Tickets

Is your dad possibly a sports fan? Maybe you could get him tickets to his favorite baseball or football teams' game. Although, there are some dad's that don't want to spend the money on the tickets, so have the kids draw some pretend tickets so he can watch the football came on TV whenever he wants!

Day out

Take your dad out on the town; take him to his favorite restaurant or an afternoon at his favorite museum or a night at the theatre. You can create an itinerary for him to follow if you want that he call follow and give him gift cards and gift certificates throughout the day.

Poem or Picture

Are you short on money this year? If so, you are never too young or old to draw dad a picture or write a poem. It is really the thought that counts and you can frame it for dad so he can keep it on the wall and look at it on a daily basis and always knows that you love him and that you care. This is probably the best option since the kids can have fun making this and it's a great memory for the kids to look back on when they are adults.
