Top 5 Green Shopping Websites for the Eco-Friendly Shopper

Summer Banks
Shopping green does not mean spending cash. Some businesses are embracing eco-friendly technology to create a more eco-friendly shopping experience for Earth loving consumers. If the shops are eco-friendly, they will have a website, so here are the websites that top the green shopping report card with an "A+".

WorldofGood.com

WorldofGood.com is an eBay company that connects consumers with fair trade sellers. Green shoppers can browse through eco-friendly shops online and virtually meet many of the people that supply the goods. According to the website description, WorldofGood.com is positive for people, environment, animals and causes.

Greenshopper.com

Greenshopper.com is open for business in more way than one. The green shop offers tips on recycling the merchandise purchased online or things you already have at home. Shops sell everything from shampoo to clothes racks to salad bowls and all are friends of Mother Earth.

SmartlyGreen.com

SmartlyGreen.com is a unique website that does not directly sells goods. It connects shoppers to outside online websites that sell products (not all eco-friendly or green) and in return a donation is made to Cool Earth - a charity to prevent further impact of climate change.

GreennBrown.com

GreennBrown.com looks like a cool website and the eco-friendly goods on the website back up the looks. Supplements, candles, jewelry and clothing are all listed for affordable prices. Every sale made at GreennBrown.com provides 25 cents to preventing child hunger around the world.

LinksOrganic.com

Not really into dedicating all your green shopping to one website? LinksOrganic.com has the answer to that dilemma. Links are listed for businesses around the world that sell green, or eco-friendly merchandise. Some have online stores while others are physical storefronts in your local community.

Buying green is just the right thing to do. Climate change, global warming and fossil fuels are greatly impacting the health of our Earth. We have the ability to make small changes that have a huge impact on the lifespan of our planet and shopping green is a great way to start.

    Thank you for the recommendation!
The Eco Direct store is great! In my opinion it is also wonderful because it's not so pretentious and blatant about how they are selling eco friendly products. They are just another site being run by fellow americans who want to offer eco friendly stuff!

I just bought some preserve bowls that were much cheaper than at whole foods too!

There are many sites out there and it's good to check them all out too!

You should add www.EcoDirectStore.com to this list. EcoDirectStore has great variety on eco friendly products and they also have a blog for eco tips. They have lot of deals and sometimes free shipping on specific items. I started buying my household supplies from them have nothing but good stuff to say!
