1) Brad Pitt or The One with the Rumor
At the time of his appearance on Friends he was actually married to Jennifer Aniston so the premise of this episode was wonderfully ironic and made for some fantastically funny moments. In this episode, Brad Pitt plays Will Colbert, who like Monica is a once-upon-a-time fat kid. Of course... now he looks like Brad Pitt... so different that Rachel doesn't remember being mean and cruel to him in high school. An epic hate fest ensues as Rachel learns of the "I-hate-Rachel" club had two member, Ross and Will, and this club started the unfavorable rumor that Rachel had male and female sex organs. A very fun episode.
2) Bruce Willis, several episodes
We can thank Bruce Willis' appearance on Friends to a bet he lost to Matthew Perry. Bruce Willis plays the dad of Ross' girlfriend who eventually also ends up being Rachel's boyfriend. Bruce plays his typical enduringly stoic character who Rachel tries to get to open up. The problem is... when the floodgates finally open up... all hell breaks loose... and it doesn't stop... and nobody wants to date a crybaby.
3) Julia Roberts or The One After the Superbowl: Part 2
This episode truly demonstrates revenge at it's sweetest. Chandler runs across an old middle-school friend named Susie Moss who due to him gained the unfortunate nickname of "Susie-underpants." Susie feigns interest in Chandler only to leave him naked in a public restroom wearing.... her underwear. How incredibly awesome is that?
4) George Clooney/ Noah Wyle or The One with Two Parts: Part 2
In this episode, Rachel badly sprains her ankle and convinces Monica to let her use her health insurance. In order to convince the hospital staff that Rachel is Monica, they switch names, which becomes complicated when they meet two very cute doctors, George Clooney and Noah Wyle, and invite them over for dinner. The night ends in a reverse confessional as Monica and Rachel each pretending to be other spit out confessions about "their" dirty secrets. As in, Monica pretending to be Rachel saying "I had sex on my parent's bed." If you really want to know the deepest secrets of Monica and Rachel, this is the episode to watch.
5) Danny DeVito or The One with the Stripper
Ok... Danny DeVito... as a stripper. Need I say more?

Post a Commentyeah I agree with Bradd Pitt's appearance being one of the best...a natural comedy actor with fantastic comedic timing...
But two of my other favourites are:
Christina Aguilera as Rachel's ditzy sister Amy is fantastic...another brilliant comedy actress who pulled off her lines with aplomb. And unbelievably hot to boot!
And Winona Ryder, if only to showcase an essentially-indie movie actress' versatility and talent, as Rachel's high school lesbian secret admirer...played the "plastics" (sorry, borrowed from Mean Girls!) role trememdously and the hot, hot kiss...I have dreams about those coconuts knocking about!
That was Kathleen Turner?! Wow, good to know. Thanks Kelly M.
I also really liked the crazy Brooke Shields appearance where she thought Joey really was Drake Remore. And - Maggie Wheeler's ongoing appearances as Janice( just when you thought it was safe to focus an episode on Chandler again) were all priceless. DeVito as the stripper was off the hook. But number one on my list was Kathleen Turner as Chandler's father....
