Top 5 Halloween Costumes for Kids

Seth Luke
It's 2009 and Halloween is just around the corner. The big question is, what are your kids going to wear? Here is my list of the top 5 Halloween costumes for kids.

1. Snake Eyes from GI Joe

Have your child dress as their favorite GI Joe character, which is usually Snake Eyes. The cheapest costume I found was only $26.99, and you can order it here

2. The Dark Knight (BatMan)

Who doesn't like Batman? I know I like him. Why don't you pretend your town is Gothem City and dress up as him. A cheap costume can be found here

3. James Bond

James Bond is just plan cool. If your child has watched and liked the movies, ask them if they want to work for the British Secret Service as agent 007. If they do, you should get them to try dressing up as him. The best part, you don't even need to buy a costume! Just get a tuxedo and a bow tie and a white shirt to go underneath it. Black dress pants would go great with it too.

4. Hannah Montana

Every girl loves Hannah Montana. Her songs, her TV shows and everything! You need to get the costumes quickly, as I'm sure they will sell fast! You can buy one just about anywhere, but I found a whole bunch here

5. Princess Leia (Star-Wars)

Star-Wars are always in style. So why not have your girl dress up as a princess from the popular science fiction movie. I found a great costume here

It really depends on you and your child to pick out the right costume. These were just some ideas you should think about. Main characters of their favorite moves are always a good choice. Video game characters and story book characters are also a good choice. If you like to go old fashioned, you can always go with a witch or wizard. All of these work for Halloween parties too!

The main age range for this list is 5 through 12. If your costume has any props, it may get a little heavy after a while, so it's good to bring a bag to hold it in. Also, masks can get really hot on your child's face after a while, so it's safe to take it off near the end of trick or treating. Have a safe and wonderful Halloween! Have fun!
