1) Take your spouse to a vineyard.
If age appropriate this is the ultimate romantic date. Some vineyards allow you to walk through and see how wine is made. You also can arrange to have a romantic lunch, or dinner. It is also cool because most vineyards allow taste testing. You can make a day of it or just to the evening thing. Just remember to plan accordingly and get permission for all of your plans, you don't want to be arrested.
2) A picnic.
Traditional as this may seem, it is still romantic. You can also make it original, because with this date you can get creative. You can have it at night under the stars, or during the day. You can have her favorite flower leading a trail to the spot, you can use anything really. You can make a gourmet arrangement or plain old sandwiches, they will appreciate it either way. It really is the easiest and like I said, it has endless possibilities.
3) An all day date.
Find a day you both are available, and use it to coordinate a date that consumes the whole day. It can be one big thing or a lot of small things, with the small things yo can leave little notes ahead of time to see if she can figure out where the next stop is. For example you can serve her breakfast in bed, then go to a Build-A-Bear Workshop. Just be sure to focus the day out trying new things and things they like. You don't want to spend the day at a baseball game if your girlfriend hates baseball. Remember this date is for you both not just you.
4) The traditional dinner and a movie.
You can use this date and put your own spin on it, to create your own tradition. For example instead of the regular theater, go to the drive-in and then to her favorite restaurant. The drive-in is nice because you're under the stars with a blanket to cuddle up under. You may also be able to have your dinner at the drive-in, making it an all-in-one event.
5) Go to an amusement park, fair, or zoo.
Nothing is more fun than being able to be a kid again, especially when you work constantly. These events will let you have all day fun, and there is a way you can add so many different things to it. You can bring a picnic, or break the rules and eat their grilled food. They also have bands at some of these events, dance with her, even if no one else is doing it. There is always the Farris Wheel as well, there is something about this ride that is just romantic.
No matter what it is you can find almost anything to do that will please your mate, just coordinate it with their interests. And have fun with it, don't stress about details because it won't matter. Just so long as you are together, they will be happy.
