Top 5 Game Applications

Here are my personal picks for the top five best iPod game apps.

5. Assassin's Creed

The iPod version of this critically acclaimed game incorporates bright visuals, an interesting plot, and realistic game play, making it incredibly fun to play. It is one of the lengthiest apps on the Apple store to play, taking around 10 hours or more to fully complete. If you have ever played Assassin's Creed on the Xbox, you would know that it has a long and complicated plot. I think they did a great job compressing the game to fit an iPhone format, and many of the important aspects of the Xbox version are still included. It is an RPG style game, and you run around collecting weapons and armor to fight the forces of evil.

4. Bloons

Bloons is an extremely addictive game, and will keep you entertained for hours. You play as a little monkey creature and must pop balloons with darts. The number of darts you get per level varies depending on difficulty. Bloons started out as a Flash game online, and became so popular they decided to make it into an app. There are many levels, and they get progressively harder as the game goes on.

3. Ragdoll Blaster

This is a very entertaining and addictive app, and can get frustrating at times. You have to shoot "ragdolls" from a cannon, to hit a target. Once the target is hit, you can progress to the next level. It starts out quite easy, but some of the later levels are a real challenge.

2. Flight Control

Flight Control is a fun game that requires immense concentration, and a fast reaction time. You have to steer little planes to the correct airports, by drawing a line from the planes to the airports. Sounds easy enough, however if the planes collide you have to start over.

1. Worms

In my opinion, this is by far the greatest game in the App Store. In this game, you command a little army of worms, and you must defeat the opposing force. Each team takes turns moving their worms, and you can use one weapon per turn. Worms includes a variety of weapons, such as bazookas, machine guns, land mines, and even exploding sheep! If you don't want to battle a computer, you can do challenges. The more challenges you complete, the more items you get in the game. You can also personalize your worms by giving them names, voices, and gravestones when they die.
