Stop by the San Diego KOA at 111 North 2nd Avenue in Chula Vista. You may reserve your spot online or by calling 800-562-9877. Open year round, this is the place to visit if you are traveling in an RV. 200 RV sites, free cable TV, close proximity to the Mexican border and San Diego's famous SeaWorld, and a pool that is open year round are just some of the amenities you enjoy here.
Los Angeles/Pomona/Fairplex KOA
If you are more interested in tent camping, then the Los Angeles KOA at 2200 North White Avenue in Pomona should be to your liking. Reserve your spot by calling 888-562-4230 and be prepared to pay between $25 and $35 for a tent camping site occupied by two people. A mini mart, gym, and heated pool on site, this is a great home base from which to explore Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the Getty.
Located at 10595 Hot Mineral Spa Road in Niland, the Glamis KOA is open to RV travelers from October 1st to May 1st, but closed throughout the summer. Targeting the ATV aficionado desert loving camper who enjoys first rate accommodations, free high speed Internet is part of RV camping at this KOA. Since the mineral springs are part of the experience, prepare for a relaxing stay. Book a spot online or call 800-562-7554.
If you are towing a boat and if only RV camping with all the trimmings will do, then the Blythe/Colorado River KOA at 14100 Riviera Drive in Blythe is your destination of choice. Featuring about 300 RV hookup sites, you may reserve your site online or by calling 800-562-3948. On the grounds of this luxurious KOA are an arcade to keep the kiddies happy, laundry facilities, a community center, and of course a boat launch.
Featuring 96 RV sites and four tent camping sites, it is obvious that the Banning Stagecoach KOA at 1455 South San Gorgonio in Banning caters to the RVer. You may reserve a site online or call an agent at 800-562-4110. Even though the park is open year round, the pool is open only from March to November. On the upside, there is a playground and a community center with TV and pool table. The park is a stone's throw away from Palm Springs and gamblers who enjoy a stint at the Indian casinos will find this a cheaper alternative than many hotels, even during the off season.
