Top 5 Men's Retro Stocking Filler Ideas

Kyra Lennon
When it comes to men's retro stocking fillers, it's best to think of things that will remind them of their youth - but with a touch of silliness. Men don't necessarily reminisce the same way women do, but they still enjoy looking back at the things they used to enjoy. Here is a list of the top 5 men's retro stocking fillers!

Top 5 Men's Retro Stocking Fillers

1. Wind-Up Pacman and Ghost £5.99 from Shiny Shack

Pacman was, and still is legendary. Once a hit arcade game, Pacman is now part of the retro phenomenon which is why it is one of the top men's retro stocking fillers available. For £5.99, you get a wind-up Pacman and a wind-up ghost. They will be an absolute hit when he sees them chasing each other across the table or desk and although this gift is quite juvenile, you should never underestimate how much fun can be had from wind-up toys!

2. Jim'll Fix It Mug £4.99 from kapowgifts

Back in the eighties, Jimmy Saville was television's version of a genie, granting wishes for those who wrote to him asking him to make their dreams come true. After having their dreams fulfilled, they were presented with the Jim'll Fix It badge, which said "Jim fixed it for me". Even though the show ended a long time ago, you can now buy a retro mug bearing the famous words so the man in your life can have a touch of nostalgia with his morning coffee.

3. Strip Tease Pens £3 from kitsch.co.uk

These naughty pens were all the rage several years back. They had a brief revival when an episode of Friends mentioned them but until then it seemed that they disappeared into oblivion. They aren't too risqué, but you may want to keep them away from the kids anyway! Just turn the pen upside down and the model inside goes from fully clothed to naked in seconds! These pens aren't designed to be offensive in any way, just a bit of fun as retro men's stocking fillers.

4. Ray Gun Cufflinks £12.50 from kitsch.co.uk

These ray gun cufflinks will appeal to both the adult and the child inside your man! Ray guns were a popular toy once upon a time with their loud sound effects and the reminder that such guns were used in popular television shows. Cufflinks are always a good gift choice for men and with their touch of retro chic, they will be a big hit!

5. USB Whack It £11.95 from Getting Personal

Another arcade classic was Whack a Mole - the game where you let out all of your frustration on mechanical moles by hammering them with a big mallet as they pop up. They aren't found in arcades so often these days, so maybe your man will enjoy the brilliance of a mini USB version of Whack a Mole! All he has to do is plug it into a USB port and tap the coloured heads when they light up. When the game is over, the score is displayed on the front and many hours could be passed trying to beat his own high score!

Men's retro stocking fillers are an absolute blast to shop for, though it would be very easy to spend over your budget with so many amazing things to choose from. Shop carefully but have fun!

Good ideas. Someone in our class at school was selling strip tease pens, so I had one back in the 60's. Great for bringing back memories. I guess Pacman etc are 30 years old now - wow!
