The first ministry of the Holy Spirit is to quicken our mortal bodies according to Romans 8:11. The Holy Spirit that lives within us is the same Spirit that raised Jesus up on the third day. According to Matt. 3:11, when we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and savior, we were baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Fire has a cleansing effect, which purifies our bodies of every sickness, disease, and impurity. We must believe that the Holy Spirit lives in us in order for us to operate in His power. The Holy Spirit must have a pure place to dwell in for he is from the kingdom of God.
The second ministry of the Holy Spirit is to guide us into all truth according to St. John 16:12-13. The Holy Spirit is definitely not limited to spiritual things. If that was the case, His power would not have an effect here in the physical realm. When you acknowledge the Holy Spirit and all your ways He will direct you. According to Hosea 4:6, the Lord says," My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge." If we are destroyed for lack of knowledge, the Holy Spirit was given to us so that we will not lack knowledge or not be able to know truth.
The third ministry of the Holy Spirit is that he will reveal things to come according to St. John 16:13. Acknowledging the Holy Spirit and all your ways is to engage the Holy Spirit and get Him involved with your situations more often, so that you can hear Him when he is trying to reveal something to you. Just because a thing is available doesn't mean it will work without you engaging it.
The fourth ministry of the Holy Spirit according to St. John's 14:26 states that He reminds us of things we were taught. The Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance things we learned previously and He brings it to our remembrance at a time when we need it. He can't bring things to our remembrance that we never knew in the first place.
The fifth ministry of the Holy Spirit is that He corrects or reproves the world of sin. Basically what that means is that He convicts us, or causes us to feel guilty when we commit sins. When you feel bad about something you've done that you know wasn't right, that is the Holy Spirit convicting you. When a person ignores these feelings of conviction, they become weaker until that person cannot feel the conviction any longer. On the flip side, the more you acknowledge and obey the Holy Spirit when He convicts you, the clearer His voice becomes to you.
These are the top ministries or jobs of the Holy Spirit. As we begin to understand more about the Holy Spirit and His purpose in our lives, the more we can enjoy a life of fullness. None of the information provided in this article was provided from a person's opinion. Everything I write related to God comes from the Bible.
