5. Hungry, Hungry Hippos
The only thing more fun than actually playing this game was watching the commercial for it. This fast paced add features children playing the Hungry Hungry Hippos board game, inter cut with large cartoon hippos that dance and sing while juggling (and eventually gobbling) fruit. Despite the simplicity of this add, the jingle is super catchy- so catchy that to this day when I think of 90s commercials this is one of the first ones that comes to mind.
4. Pop!Goes perfection
Who could forget this one? A man with an abnormally large chin sings to us about how to play perfection: "Put the pieces into the slot, make the right selection, but be quick you're racing the clock! POP goes perfection!" At the moment he yells "POP!" a cool special effect is done and pieces of the board game POP out of his T-shirt.
3. Caramilk
For decades Caramilk's main add campaign has been "The Caramilk Secret". My favorite Caramilk add is from the 90s. In it an ancient wise man comes out of his chambers after a long period of meditation. After several years he has finally discovered the Caramilk Secret! Before he can tell his students the secret a young pupil asks, "So how do they get the chocolate fudge inside the Cadbury Caramilk bar?" The sage is shocked and responds: "Chocolate Fudge? Just when I discover the secret they invent another Caramilk!"

2. Cinamon Toast Crunch
For a kid, the best commercials out there are obviously the ones that make fun of grown ups. One of my favorite cereals in the 90s was Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and they're adds were all about making fun of grown ups. In one of the more memorable cinnamon toast crunch adds a young girl introduces us to her big brother, Bernie. "He knows everything!" She tells us. "Oh yeah?" Asks the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chef, does he know why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?" Bernie makes a few lame guesses, but has no clue. "Wise up bro!" His little sister tells him, "It's the taste you can see!".
1. Sodalicious
Sodalicious were a type of "soda- flavored" fruit snacks. The add began with a cardboard cutout boy trying to bounce a flat basketball and looking dejected. The announcer asks, "feeling flat? Add some pop!" The boy buys some Sodalicious from a vending machine and instantly jumps to life. I love this add because it combines all the best things about the 90s into one awesome spot. Cheesy visual effects? Check. Rap Music? Check. Pink and Purple Nylon outfits? Check. If I remember correctly the snacks were actually quite tasty... I wonder if they still sell them in stores?
