The soundtrack from 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year' from Walt Disney is doing great in music charts around the world. Though this is fairly a new entry (released on 24th October 2008 in USA) in the music charts it has already topped some of the trusted and very popular music charts. Industry insiders think that the huge popularity of the soundtrack will surely boost the overall business of the film.
The next in the list is Adele who made a big impression on the music lovers and music critics in 2006 when she had a successful tour as an opening act for Jack Penate. By late 2007 she was already termed as "the next Amy Winehouse" by UK music journalists. There are lots of hypes in the market that she is the "Sound of 2008". As '19' (XL/Columbia) (released by Sony Music) is doing great in different music charts around the world, there should not be any doubt about her music quality. However, time will say if she can really hold this position and popularity and do justice to her fame so far.
The next album that is doing great is Ray LaMontagne's 'Gossip In The Grain'. Does he remind you of Van Morrison or Tim Buckley! Here is your chance of getting another glimpse of Ray. He had been here for a long time. Critics are overwhelmed with his new album (it is his third album produced by Ethan Johns) - they are stopping nowhere to say that it is the most adventurous recording and at the same time in many ways it is a focused and well executed album. The new album mainly celebrates the pleasures and synergy of a smoothly functioning conjugal unit. Do you love these sorts of music? Check it out!
What is the next album? The great hip hop artist TI is back with his sixth studio album Paper Trail. By 2000, he became one of the rap music's remarkably successful MCs. Do you remember the situation when he first disclosed the album details? For those who missed the occasion, it was on 13th November 2007 when he was giving an official statement regarding two charges of felonies against him. After a lot of delays the album was finally released on September 30, 2008. And according to different news sources it sold more than 357,000 copies in USA within three days.
The next album in the list is the "Lucky Old Sun" by country music artist Kenny Chesney. It is his 12th studio album released on 14th October, 2008. "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" was the lead-off single of the album and it was released on 11th August 2008. By October 2008 it became the top song in Billboard's country music charts.
Those are the top 5 music albums that are doing great around the world. Do you have these toppers of music charts in your collection?
