Top 5 Must Equipments for Travel Phtography

The most essential equipment for any photography is, of course, camera. However, traveling exposes one to so many variables that it is impossible to choose one camera that would be the most fitting for every situation. So I'm deferring that for another article of its' own and concentrating on the accessories for traveling photography in this article.

Gorillapod Flexible Tripod ($17.50 at Amazon.com): Gorillapod is a tripod with bendable legs. Each of the legs are series of spherical knobs which can be wrapped around a branch or a rail in order to hold the camera at any angle you desire. It's small size and light weight is ideal for traveling.

Nikon 7072 Lens Pen Cleaning System ($7.51 at Amazon.com): Small pen-style design fits easily in any camera bag. It contains retractable soft brush and chamois tip for effective removal of fingerprints, dust and other debris that may compromise your lens.

8-16GB Memory Card: You'll need larger storage capacity since you won't have the computer to backup your precious memories during travel most likely. I didn't list specific brand or item here because depending on the type or brand of the camera, you'll need different types of storage media. For example, point-and-shoot cameras usually require SD cards and DSLR's require compact flash with a few exceptions. If you are shooting in RAW with DSLR, you'll need several of these.

Lowepro Topload Zoom Mini Camera Bag ($17.32 at Amazon.com): Again, this really depends on the type of camera you carry. However, since point-and-shoot cameras can be carried in a pocket, this would matter if you were to carry DSLR's. So assuming that you are carrying a DSLR with you while you travel, this particular bag is just big enough to hold all your essentials. It is also quick to get the camera in and out of the bag.

Sima SIP-3 Ultimate International Travel Adapter Plug Set ($11.08 at Amazon.com) : All of the above is useless if you have no way of charging your camera. If you are traveling internationally, you'll need this in order to plug your charger to the wall receptacle of the country you are traveling in.

If you have any other devices you'd like to recommend please leave it on the comment.
