It's that time of the year. The holidays are over and it's time to ring in 2010. Are you ready to party for New Years without spending a lot of money, without the alcohol and hang over? If you're looking for a New Years Eve beverage, a great substitute for alcohol, and a drink that is sure to make your taste buds smile, try these fabulous five drinks for 2010.

First, add some extra flavor and sweeten up your typical sparkling cider. After purchasing your bottle of sparkling cider, any brand, from the store, add 2 and half cups of orange juice, and a quarter cup of grenadine. Then you're ready to stir, chill, and enjoy!

Looking for something to warm you up on your cold New Year's Eve night? Perhaps you'll want to try some homemade hot chocolate. For one delicious cup you will need 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of water, 1 cup of milk, 1 drop of vanilla extract, marshmallows, and whipped cream. Begin preparations by combining cocoa, sugar, and water in a pan on the stove. Heat on low; add milk and vanilla, stirring often. Pour in your mug, top with marshmallows and whipped cream as desired.

Prefer a more traditional holiday beverage? Try a nice tall glass of eggnog with a twist. Instead of adding a shot of rum to your eggnog, enjoy a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This makes for a sweet and refreshing drink as well as dessert.

Want to serve a whole party? Make a quick and easy batch of some cranberry cooler punch. In a large punch bowl, filled with about 6 cups of ice, mix the following ingredients: 1 ½ liters of cranberry-apple juice, 1 cup fresh cranberries, 1 liter of ginger ale, and ½ galloon of sherbet. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Another refreshing punch for your New Year's Eve party that's sure to be a favorite is the slushy punch. You can enjoy this punch in no time, just by following these quick and easy steps. Make 3 packages of strawberry gelatin mix, also stir in 2 cans of pineapple juice and l2 cups of lemon juice. Pour this mixture into freezer bags and freeze in the freezer. After frozen, take one freezer bag out of the freezer, place in punch bowl, and pour 2 liters of ginger ale over the bag. Have fun with all of your friends and enjoy drinking it all up! Celebrate, Enjoy, and Happy 2010!
