Top 5 OPI Colors for Winter

Dark short nails are in style and even quite easy to maintain. With so many colors to choice from while getting a manicure what should you choose? For me personally gel polish is my favorite choice but these OPI colors are available in either gel polish or regular polish.

OPI is my brand of choice because it is used in virtually all salons and in addition has won Allure Magazines "Breakthrough Product" award for their gel polish Axxium line not to mention the names they choose for their colors are fun. So the top 5 choices available in either gel or standard polish and beautiful on either long or short nails are....

1) Lincoln Park After Dark: Classic color that is a cross between black, purple and burgundy. It is matte and looks incredible on short nails. The name, which is reminiscent of the band Lincoln Park says it all. It is very rock star like and yet classy at the same time.

2) You Don't Know Jaques: Clearly from the French Collection this color is also a matte. It is a combination of grey and taupe and is unique while being classy.

3) OPI Ink: This color was new to me on my last trip to the salon. My manicurist informed me that it was a perfect color for my short by design nails. At first I was a bit nervous as it seemed quite purple but I figured I would give it a try. I was quite pleased. It is purple in tone and has quite a bit of shine brought on by the amounts of glitter. It is much more understated than I anticipated and a great winter color.

4) Bogata Blackberry: Another color with shimmer Bogata Blackberry is in the pink family. On the darker side it is also understated but yet stands out. It looks like a classic color.

5) Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not: A royal purple. This color certainly stands out and if you are not into purple then this is not the color for you. It is pretty dark however and nice for winter.

Here you have it my choice for the top 5 winter colors by OPI that are available in either gel polish or standard nail polish. I generally get gel polish manicure and when I change the color a standard polish change on my feet. My personal favorite is Lincoln Park After Dark and I do hope that OPI adds to their gel polish line.
