The decision to place your child into preschool comes with a lot of necessary research and the desire to find that perfect school. Ormond Beach residents have quite a few different options when it comes to preschools in the area. From half day programs to full day programs, budget friendly and not so much--there's a lot out there and finding the perfect preschool in the area comes with great uncertainty and challenge. Here is a look at the top preschools in Ormond Beach, Florida including a breakdown of rates, schedules and locations for each school in the area!

Kidsko Located at 54 S. Ridgewood Ave in Ormond Beach

Kidsko is a very large preschool facility that offers a vast preschool curriculum for ages 2 and up. Directly across from the Ormond Beach elementary school, Kidsko is a great choice for parents who have older children that attend Ormond Beach elementary. Rates for a 2 year old at Kidsko are $110 per week and this is for a full time schedule including all meals and snacks. The facility is large and the preschool child to teacher ratio is 15:1 with an additional teacher's aid in the room at all times too so it's really more like 15:2.

The Learning Center Located at 362 Hand Ave in Ormond Beach

The Learning Center offers both full time and part time preschool programs for children over 2 as well as infant based learning programs for younger children. The center medium sized and there is a large playground that is mostly shaded making it a nice environment for the kids. The child to teacher ratio is quite high actually with a ratio of 16:1 without any aids. Curriculum is creative and rather less structured so this is not the ideal choice if you are looking for a highly structured environment for your child to attend. Preschool rates for children 2 and up are $105 per week or $40 per day. Meals are included in this rate.

Kindercare Located at 151 Sagebrush Trail in Ormond Beach

Kindercare is a very structured learning environment for preschool age children. The facility is very clean and the rooms are structured in a way that learning is the main priority. This facility does not make you feel like it is a daycare at all but strictly school based. Unfortunately, you will pay the price to get this much structure when it comes to preschool. The rate at Kindercare is $143 for 5 half days or 3 full days per week. The plus side--your child can spend one day for free to see if he or she likes the environment before you actually pay the $75 registration fee and begin the weekly fees.

La Petite Academy Located at 1528 West Granada Blvd in Ormond Beach

La Petite Academy is located right near Interstate 95 so it is an ideal location for parents who have to travel the highway to work. Rates are comparative with other preschools in the Ormond Beach area--$100 for 5 half days with a $75 registration fee due annually. All workers in the facility have 40 hour DCF education and certification and the director is fully licensed. The facility is rather small but two playgrounds make outdoor play very accessible.

Little Feet Preschool Located at 250 North US Highway 1 in Ormond Beach

Little Feet is a faith based preschool that focuses additional class time on bible studies and application of verse to everyday preschool life. For a Christian based preschool, this is a great choice for little ones. Rates are rather high--$140 a week for 2 year olds which includes meals and snacks. The center is set up like a miniature village with each individual classroom being a mini house along the town. Tumbling classes are offered by a private instructor every Friday for an additional fee of $5 per week. All staff members are fingerprint cleared by the state of Florida and the county, they all have their CDA and 40 DCF certification and the director and assistant director are both FBI cleared and background checked. This facility is located right next to the bowling alley and the skating rink which offer after school programs for older kids too!
