#1 Overall Cleveland Indians rookies: Adam Miller- Fantasy Baseball 2009

Adam Miller has had a long and frustrating career as a prospect. He has been injured often and hasn't been able to prove his talent at the majors. That might change as Miller will go in contending for a spot on the Indians' opening day roster as a reliever this spring.

Trevor Crowe could turn out to be a star for the Indians this year. Unfortunately, it appears that at least to start the season he will be on the bench. But, expect Crowe to earn playing time as the season goes on and maybe even win a starting job in the outfield. Crow had a solid year in AAA with Buffalo as he hit .274 and scored 24 runs in only 35 games at AAA.

#3 Overall Cleveland Indians rookies: Rich Rundles- Fantasy Baseball 2009

Rich Rundles isn't exactly what you would call a prospect since he will be 28 years old during the 2009 season. But, he could be a good answer as a rookie for fantasy baseball. He is supposed to be fighting for a spot in the bullpen though and he had a great year in the minors in 2008. Rundles had a 2.91 ERA in 52.2 innings in AAA for Buffalo.

The Cleveland Indians had high hopes for Jonathan Meloan when they traded Casey Blake for him last year. Meloan did struggle in AAA last year posting 4.30 ERA with the Buffalo Bisons as they tried to turn him into a reliever. This year they will be testing him out in the bullpen for the Indians. Who knows if wood gets injured Meloan could even grab some innings.
