If you do not feel like paying for scouting reports or digging around a bunch of different sites to find your fantasy baseball rookies, then this article is perfect for you. The players in this article have put up great statistics in college and are looking forward to the MLB. Now let's get to the Top 5 L.A. Dodgers Rookies!

1. Ivan DeJesus Jr. is an upcoming star for the Dodgers. He was drafted in round 2 in 2005, he is now 22 with some good experience. He plays shortstop or second base and bats right. He has good speed, discipline, and instinct. If he manages to get into the line-up, he should be a good hitter for the Dodgers.

2. James McDonald has spent 4 years in the minors and is ready to move up. McDonald is 24 and a right-handed pitcher. He has three main pitches: curveball, fastball, and change-up. McDonald has a wicked curveball that makes the best hitters miss. He has a okay fastball but he is sure to improve it as he moves up. His change-up is his second best pitch but he needs to work on it also.

3. Andrew Lambo is young but looks like he could be great for the Dodgers. Lambo usually plays in left field and sometimes first base. He was drafted in round 4 in 2007. Lambo bats left-handed which could make him beneficial as a pinch-hitter. So, with only a couple years in the minors under his belt, look for him to make drastic improvements over the next couple of years. His "plate discipline" is not very good at all, he needs to work on having more control at the plate.

4. Scott Elbert is a left-handed pitcher that has some power. Elbert was drafted in round 1 in 2004. He pitches include: fastball, curevball, and change-up. His fastball is probably the best of his pitches. Elbert is usually too concerned with throwing hard more than throwing ina controlled way, this can cause problems. If he gets some better control, he may find himself in the big leagues.

5. Ethan Martin is really new pitcher for the far league. He is a right-handed pitcher and was drafted in the first round in 2008. He doesn't have that much time with bigger hitters so it will be interesting to see how his numbers do. He is only 18 , so maturity might be an issue. Martin's fastball can clock between 93-95 which is really good if he keeps his arm and shoulder in shape. He probably needs some more time in the minor leagues just to get more experience.
