1) Ratatouille-- I despised this film. Go ahead, send your hate mail Ratatouille fans. I found nothing remotely cute about this movie. It was never funny and found myself dozing off. I watched it twice and saw absolutely nothing special about it. Sluggish and never interesting. Not even moderately entertaining. Wildly overrated animated feature that will win an award it surely doesn't deserve.
2) Hot Fuzz-- Another film that I couldn't find the humor in. Lots of mindless action and some utterly senseless scenes. I liked the concept, but it was also predictable. Maybe all the hype or the fact that it was made from the makers of "Shawn of the Dead" that made me dislike the film. I also gave this one a second chance and couldn't even finish it the second time around.
3) Superbad-- Angry is how I felt while watching this movie. A dirty and disgusting look at this generation of teens. I have never seen a movie with such foul language that proves how low standard this society is. Goes overboard with the language and sexual references to the male and female genitals. The title fits the film perfectly.
4) Waitress-- Good acting but I still don't see what all the fuss is about. Other than the acting the film is too quirky for it's own good. I think that this film will find it's auidience, but I am surprised at how many people thought this was such a great movie. Good acting is about all this film has to offer. This was a hard choice but it qualifys as overrated to me.
5) Surfs Up-- Another animated film that was widely overrated. This is mainly because the viewer feels more and more obligated to like these type of films aimed towards a younger audience. Don't be fooled. This movie was horribly boring and has some very annoying characters. Not to mention that someone hasn't done any research what-so-ever on penguins and their characteristics.

Post a CommentI HATE RATS!
Disagree on the first three, didn't see the fourth one, and the fifth one I agree with
Disagree about Superbad, found it hilarious but agree on both #1 and #2. Hot Fuzz was overrated as hell.
I have to disagree with the first 3. As for the other 2, I still haven't seen them. Waitress can't be that bad. Couldn't care less about Surf's Up at this point.
I can fully agree with the first 3...have not seen the other two
I'm not surprised that you didn't like Hot Fuzz. British Humor tends to be lost on those who don't get subtle humor.
I heard such good things about Waitress and was extremely dissapointed with it. Superbad is still sitting in my pile of Christmas DVD's that I have yet to watch after all of the bad things I've heard about it. The others I haven't bothered with. Great list!
