Now that you made it to the big day, there are several pieces of advice you will be given. Some of them good, and some of them bad. It's important to keep the advice in perspective since it's your big day.
I've gathered a list of 5 pieces of advice to give a bride on her wedding day. This list, highlights some of the best advice I was ever given, including advice I've also heard while attending weddings. If you are a bride, or family or friend of the bride, any of these items will work wonderfully to put the bride at ease on her big day.
1. Have Fun
It's sounds so simple, doesn't it. It sounds simple, but for most brides that have been heavily involved in the planning of their wedding, it's really hard for them to let go of the planning and worrying about everything going right. When it comes to your wedding day, it's time to let go. All the planning is over. Today is the day to have fun and enjoy all the work that's been put into making your day the most special day of your life.
2. Take Time to Enjoy the Details of Your Wedding
So many brides start to feel in a wedding haze and forget how the tables looked, or how good the cake tasted. Try to take time and savor the sights and sounds of your wedding. It helps to have a wedding photographer or videographer, but you're making memories so take some time and try to enjoy the details of your wedding.
3. You Look Beautiful
No matter what, you look beautiful today! Every bride feels beautiful on their wedding day. Brides cannot hear this enough on their big day. If you're the bride, let yourself be pampered and feel like a princess. If you are family or a friend of the bride, make your bride feel special and beautiful. Take care of her on her special day. She will remember it always.
4. Love Each other
Marriage is a special ceremony that signifies two hearts becoming one. Your love for each other is the most important thing in your lives. Your love should be celebrated and treasured. On your wedding day, remember the love you have for your husband. Remember all the good times you've had together and think of the wonderful things that you and your husband will do together in the love you have for each other.
5. Never Go to Bed Angry
This may seem like a strange piece of advice, but it was something that my grandmother told me on my wedding day. At first I thought it was a bit cheesy sounded, but now 10 years later, I understand how right she was. It's important to always feel loved in your marriage. Try to never go to bed angry.
Your wedding day is your time to shine. Ironically most details that seem like they are obstacles, work themselves out in the end and as soon as the wedding begin, these details fade. Your day is a day to celebrate your love for each other. Never forget how in love you were. It's these feelings that will lead you through life without fear, feeling loved always.
