When you are out late for whatever reason it can be hard to find someplace that is open and serving food. Many of us having driven around pointlessly looking for even a fast food joint that is open to no avail. We end up still hungry, frustrated and wasting gas. Well, to help prevent that here are the top five places in Austin, Texas, that are open late.

First we have The Bakehouse located at 5404 Manchaca Rd. This restaurant is open until midnight every night. The average dinner plate is $10 and they have a variety of food to choose from, they specialize in food that has a south Austin twist on Mexican food.

Next we have 888 Fusion Asian Cuisine located at 2400 E Oltorf St Suite1A. They specialize in Thai and Vietnamese food. On their website you can order online. Their prices are fair $15 or less per meal. They are open until 2 am Monday - Saturday and they are open until midnight on Sunday.

If you are looking for someplace that is open 24 hours try Katz's Deli & Bar located at 618 W 6th St. Their prices are pretty cheap. They specialize in sandwiches and burgers and soups. Be warned though at midnight the line can get pretty long from people getting out of work in the area at that time.

Another place open 24 hours is Star Seeds Cafe located at 3101 N IH 35. This Café is located near University of Texas and the food is cheap and good! The Star Seeds Café offers huge taco for breakfast and for dinner burgers and chicken wigs and all sorts of Tex-Mex food.

If you don't mind eating at the bar the Fox & Hound Smokehouse & Tavern's bar is open until 2am. They are located at 401 Guadalupe St . They specialize in BBQ food. Plus the standard bar menu food of burgers, pizza, and chicken fingers.

For a list of more places open late or even 24 hours try Austin 360. You can view the restaurants and reviews on then there as well as what type of food they serve, their hours and even their website, directions and phone numbers.
