London? New York? Los Angeles? Chances are, if you've got a whole load of money, you're sick to death of seeing and hearing about these places, and even if you haven't visited them, what can anyone tell you about Tower Bridge, the Statue of Liberty or the Walk of Fame that you don't all ready know? For the wealthy traveller, here are a few places to travel where you can get away from those hackneyed eyesores.

Bogotá, Colombia

Colombia may have a reputation for something other than legitimate exporting, but with a population of 8.1 million, only a handful of cities in the Americas match it's vast size and tourist appeal. Bogotá is steeped with history and has many museums on it's past, but if that doesn't catch your fancy you can buy some of what Colombia is famous for. Emeralds.

West Indies

Idyllic sky, hot sun and a sporting spectacle - the West Indies is the place to go this summer for the ICC World Twenty20. Twenty20 is variation on cricket, to make it much quicker, more explosive and much more fun. Anyone who likes baseball will enjoy it, and even if you don't there will be a carnival atmosphere that will engulf you.

Dublin, Republic of Ireland

There are few parties more vibrant than St. Patrick's Day in the heart of Dublin, the home of Guinness; and for a small price you can tour the Guinness Storehouse. If whiskey is your drink however, then you can tour the Old Jameson Distillery. Asides alcohol Dublin also offers a large array or shops and is dense with many a place to eat and drink.

Colombo, Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's civil war ended in 2009 leading to a resurgence of tourism across the small island off the southern tip of India. Sri Lanka is an alternative to China as a holiday destination, boasting similar culture and climate. Among the list of things to do and see in Colombo include visiting the many museums, particularly the Natural Museum of Colombo, as well as taking in the Colombo Zoological Gardens.

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech's expansive markets, known as Souks, are a labyrinth of bargains, curios and collectables, and are the highlight of this magnificent city. Marrakech also houses an exotic nightlife, unique architecture is a cultural metropolis, as well as being an ideal base for hiking or skiing on the Atlas mountain region.
